ch 22 Simple times

The school was ready to be opened for students to join and finally the dream that Bondita and Anirudh worked hard for , was coming true!

One day before the opening.

Everything was ready and everyone had a very hectic day , helping in various preparation and work. Finally at night they had a good dinner , Bondita helped finish some work and she went to her room wishing everyone good night a little earlier than usual. After sometime Anirudh finished his work and came to their room. He couldn't find Bondita but then he noticed her sitting at the balcony...he walked near her.
She had her chin rested on her knees , eyes closed and hair open. She felt the cool night breeze on her face and Anirudh smiled.

"Are Bondita yahan ese bethi kyun ho , kaal subha toh jaldi uthna hai naa , sona nahi hai? " He asked.

She opened her eyes and looked at him. She tapped her hand on the ground inviting him to sit beside her. Anirudh sat beside her and gave her a glance.

"Pati babu..." She said and stopped.

Seeing her in hesitation Anirudh asked"kya baat hai Bondita , koi pareshani hai?"
"Nahi nahi pati babu , pareshani kese ho sakti hai...mein bas etni khush hun ki maan ko shanti nahi mil rahi...kabhi kabhi esa hota hai naa ki hum bohot khush hote hain toh bhi maan ashant ho jata hai...kaal jab school khulega toh humara sapna pura hoga wahan gaon ke bacche apne bhawishya ki tayari karenge...ladkiyan bhi padhne ayengi...par pata nahi jab sab thik hai to kyun kuch toh thik nahi hai..." She said ad stopped. Anirudh waited for her finish " pati babu pata hai , kabhi kabhi sham ko yahan beth kar kitab padhna accha lagta hai , is jagah beth kar kab samay beet jaya karta hai pata hai nahi chalta. Sham dhalte hi kahin dur se namaz mein dua karte hue logon ki awaz ati hai aur kahin kisi Mandir mein arti kartu hue logon ki awaz ati hai. Kahin koi kuch ga raha hai. Kahin bacche khel rahe hain. Yeh sab nazare ye sab awazein maan ko kaafi shant karti hain. Isiliye yahan bethna mujhe pasand hai..."
" Sab agar thik hai toh kya hai jo maan ko ashant kar raha hai Bondita!? " He asked.

She lifted her head and placed it on his shoulder. "Pata nahi pati babu.." she said and sighed. She again closed her eyes.
Anirudh smiled and said "Bondita pata hai jab tum yahan nahi thi tab mujhe bhi kuch esa hi lagta tha...pata nahi woh shayad kaam ki wajah se tha lekin baad mein pata chala ki jab tum dur ek sheher mein akele rehe rahi ho toh maan tumhare baare mein soch soch kar ashant reheta tha"

"Fir kya kiya apne pati babu?" She asked in a silent voice.
"Fir kya tumse baat kar liya karta tha toh maan halka ho jata tha...dekho Bondita humara maan sirf khush rehene k liye nahi bana humein har trah ki cheizein mehesoos karne ki azadi hai aur kabhi kabhi jab maan udas ho ya bas yu hi ashant ho toh humein usse baat karni chahiye jisspe hum ankhe band karke bharosa karte hain...Tumhein bhi wahi karna chahiye Bondita...jisspe sabse zyada bharosa karti ho usse baat karo sab thik ho jayega" He said smiling.

"Aapse baat kar hi toh rahi hun pati babu..." She said , still wyes closed and leaning on his shoulder.

Anirudh was look at the sky but when he heard her words he paused from his thoughts and looked at her. She was leaning on his shoulders and she looked so innocent. He smiled and blushed. He felt so honoured to be the person she trusts the most.
He smiled and said "toh batao kya pareshan kar raha hai tumhein.."

They sat there and talked for hours. Without realising how time went by and it was midnight. Bondita was getting sleepy and the wind made her shiver.
He noticed her shivering and helped her cover herself in her pallu. He embraced her in his arms but she shrunk into his chest...he hugged her smiling and soon both of them feel asleep. A few minutes later Anirudh woke up and noticed they are still sitting in the balcony...he was hugging her and she felt like the most precious thing to him in his arms.

"Tumhe kisi bhi cheez ki chinta karne ki zaroorat nahi hai Bondita" he whispered and suddenly Bondita moved her head still sleepy she whispered
"Meri himmat banne k liye shukriya pati babu" and dozed off again.
He smiled and picked her up in his arms...he laid her in the bed and covered her with a sheet and leaning towards her face he kissed her forehead and smiled... thinking how lucky his fate is he then slept peacefully.
