Ch - 14 Past Unfolds! (02)

The wedding was grand and the event finished without any trouble , despite the villagers thought it wouldn't. Anirudh had a great time , being back in his country and experiencing his culture after years was delightful for him but his mind couldn't get the conversation of those two men , away.
It was night time. Anirudh and Saurabh were on their way back to Tulsipur but Anirudh was still restless. Something felt wrong to him. So he decided to go back to Devipur.
Here in Bondita's house...She and her mother keeping the incident from earlier that day aside, had their dinner and slept peacefully. Sumati maa couldn't sleep for quite sometime thinking anxiously that about the enraged villagers. What would they do now? She thought but soon she fell asleep.

In the middle of the night , three men approached silently towards Bondita's house. They peeked inside from the window which was a little open and saw the mother daughter sleeping. They smiled at eachother and started throwing oil all over the house...Then one of them took a mashal and lit the edge of the roof on fire... within minutes the whole house caught fire...
"Aab humesha k liye chup ho jeyenge dono maa beti. Naa rahega bans naa bajegi bansuri. Aab humare ritiyon par koi sawal nahi karega, koi unhe bhang nahi karega" A man said smiling. While all three of them laughed.
But Anirudh and Saurabh reached Devipur on time... before they could do anything they noticed huge light and  huge clouds of smoke at the outskirts of the village. They rushed there in no time and saw everything , Anirudh screamed at the men and Both Anirudh and Saurabh fought them but they realised they need to save whoever is inside...The flames were high but Anirudh bashed the door and ran inside he saw Bondita and her Mother lying Unconscious... Anirudh panicked but he managed to get sumati maa in conciousness...he got her out of the house while she cried out loud in disbelief..."meri beti ko bachalo" she screamed. Anirudh ran back inside...He tried to get Bondita into her senses but she had inhaled too much smoke , she was in 0 sense. Anirudh picked her up in his arms...the flames were growing higher...But he managed to get Bondita out of the house just in time before the whole house collapsed.
"Are ladke kyu bacha raha hai in dono ko! Bojh hai dono! Yeh maa apshaguni hai aaur beti besharam!" A man shouted at Anirudh.
"Yeh kya bakwas kar rahe hain aap log" Anirudh screamed back.
Sumati maa rushed to Bondita but she lied unconscious on her lap.
"Are koi nahi hai en dono ka! Bojh hai duniya par kaha na humme! Is aurat kaa pati nahi aur is ladki ka pita naa, naa koi bhai! Jab dekho yeh ladki zuban chalati hai, dhram ke virudh sawal karti hai! Esi ladki ka bhi mar jana hi sahi hai!" Another man shouted.
"Aap hote kaun hai kisi ki mritru taye karne wale!?" Anirudh shouted.
By this time the sun had started to outshine the burning house. The villagers had gathered and everyone surprisingly supported that the mother daughter are not fit for the society.
"Dur hato" A man said and pushed Saurabh who was blocking and saving Sumati maa and Bondita from the villagers... Saurabh fell to the ground and the man held Bondita's unconscious hand and dragged her away from Sumati maa..."tujhe toh hum baad mein bhi dekh lenge pehele is ladki ko thikane lagaenge" The man said staring and pushing Sumati maa who tried to push the man away..."Meri bacchi" she cried!

"Are teri is beti ka koi nahi! Jesi teri beti hai , iska koi sath nahi dega, ise toh mei..." The man shouted while he tried to harm Bondita.
But Anirudh kicked the man and as he fell Bondita slipped from his bitter grip and Anirudh caught her in his embrace before her Unconscious self could touch the ground.
"Ek ladki ka sawal karna apko etna pasand nahi! Koi saat nahi dega eska yeh aap kese kehe sakte hain!Kya tark karne ka hak nahi ise! Apne hak nahi maang sakti hai kya yeh!  Aur agar sirf isi karwn se aap ise maar daalna chahate hain toh mein dunga eska sath! Mein karunga ise vivah!" Anirudh screamed as he reached and took a pinch of kumkum from a pandit's arti ki thali, who was on his way to the mandir but stopped to see the drama that was happening.
"Ek ladki ka sawal karna uski maut ka karan bane yeh mein hone nahi dunga! Mein dunga iska sath! Saya toh sirf roshni mein sath deti hai, lekin mein Anirudh Roy Choudhry andhakar mein bhi iska sath dunga!" Anirudh shouted as he filled Bondita's hairline with kumkum.
