As Bondita acquainted with an old face that day...what came with the person was her past...the past that was missing from her life, the past Anirudh kept hidden from Bondita.
Bondita met her old dakiya kaka from her village Devipur...while they updated eachother about their lives...Dakiya kaka told Bondita how she married Anirudh...The whole "incident" took Bondita by utter shock! Disbelief!
She started trembling...her throat went soar and her mind went blank...
She rushed inside the haveli and then into the study... Anirudh was engrossed in his work...he heard Bondita rush in he looked at her and before he could say something...
"Pati babu...kuch puchu aapse...sach sach batayenge?" Bondita asked.
"Tumhe kabhi kuch puchne se roka hai kya Bondita? Kaho kya baat hai" he said smiling.
"Humari shadi kese hui thi?" She asked staring directly into his eyes... listening to her words Anirudh was schoked...
"Jese sabki hoti hai" he said escaping Bondita's eyes.
"Acha, par mujhe sab janna hai aapko mere bare mein kese pata chala, humari shadi se pehele koi mujhe dekhne kyun nahi aya tha? Sab batiye" Bondita asked controlling herself.
"Bondita jese sabki shadi hoti hai wese humari bhi hui thi...par tum yeh sab abhi kyun puch rahi ho?" Anirudh asked still not looking at her.
"Kyunki devipur se purane Dakiya kaka aye the..." Bondita said. That's when Anirudh looked at Bondita and understood she knows something he had been hiding...
He realised that there's no denying now , he can't hide anything anymore...He thought thet Bondita is now old enough to understand what the situation that day was...so he made Bondita sit near him...and finally started telling her about how they got married...

Writer's POV

Bondita...an innocent, curious , thoughtful , beautiful little girl , lived in a small village , Devipur, with her widowed mother.
Her father passed away when she was 7 , she was really close to her father so she missed him very much. Her mother was a pure and genuine soul like her too, she was quite and pretty much an orthodox lady. Whatever the society made her do after her husband's demise in the name of tradition , she obeyed. But Bondita was not someone who could stay silent , whenever she saw something that felt wrong , she would question it. Everyone thought she's a kid and she would eventually stop questioning the society and it's norms but Bondita was different. Soon she turned 12...

Anirudh...a brave , kind , confident , passionate , young boy returned from London when he was I8...He stayed in london for 7 years , he studied there , graduated there, lived like everyone else there. But as soon as he stepped on his land he instantly felt like he is at home , a place he belongs...his heart was filled with patriotism and his mind had dreams to change the condition in India. He too never agreed on society's baseless rules and regulations. That's what he thought of those rules "baseless" "orthodox".

{ Destiny had plans to cross paths of Bondita and Anirudh in such a way that they would be tied in an eternal bond. Together they were meant to bring change and have a love story the world had never seen. }

One day in Devipur...

It was Bondita's best friend Suman's wedding day... Bondita was very excited meet a lot of new people , have a lot of fun , eat her favourite food and dance with her friends. But she didn't want to go alone...so she asked her mother to come with her.
Her mother Sumati , knew that she can't go to a wedding because a widow is considered a bad and unlucky person to be in any auspicious occasion...
"Maa tu bhi chal naa mere sath , mein akele nahi jana chahati, wese bhi tu ghar bethe kya karegi...tera maan lagega wahan chal naa, kaki (Suman's mother) tujhe dekh ke kitna khush hongi...chal naa" Bondita said tieing her special payals onto her ankles...they were special because they were a gift from her father...he gave her a big beautiful pair of payals , she could wear them when she was older. It was all Bondita had from him.
