Explaining, that was for sure. Excusing himself from Chloe's current hospital room, Lucifer met Maze in the corridor of the hallway. He explained every last detail of what had happened since she was out on a bounty. He was surprised to see that Trixie didn't tell her that her mother was sick but he guessed that they weren't on speaking terms or something. All of the juicy bits were mentioned like: Chloe getting sick, the hallucinations, the collapsing at the crime scene, and eventually coming to the hospital and he mentioned the conversation he had with the doctor.

Maze sighed in frustration at the mention of Lucifer's brother, Micheal.
"So what do you want me to do?" she asked him, placing her hands on her hips.
"Just glance around and see if you can find Micheal. I need answers from him as soon as possible" he explained in a shaky tone.
"Yeah, got it. You stay here with Decker though. You know she doesn't like hospitals" she said through a stifled laugh. He huffed at that and exited the hall, entering Chloe's hospital room as Maze made her way down the corridor to exit the hospital.

Chloe turned her head at the noise from the creaky door and warmly smiled when she saw Lucifer enter. Laying in the hospital covers, she was removed from her moment with him when little snores filled the air and looked down, seeing Trixie sound asleep tucked into and holding her mothers' arm. She smirked at her and focused her gaze back on Lucifer.

"Hey", she whispered sleepily.
"Hey", he replied back softly as he reached the corner of the room and sat himself on the cream, boring chair.
"You just disappeared. Are you okay?" She asked clearly concerned for him as to why he randomly disappeared.
"Now, don't worry about that. You should be focused on yourself and the little urchin", he said quietly back, giggling a cheeky grin. "You should get some sleep darling. You have had a hell of a day". She sighed looking at the ceiling, trying to think about what she wanted to say next because she was in no mood to sleep.

Now looking at him deeply in the eyes, she continued the conversation by asking: "Is it Micheal?", and horror in his eyes as he looked in her direction answered her question straight away. Running a free hand through her hair, the machines that were showing her heartbeat and vitals increased slightly. A knock on the door was heard and it opened, revealing a doctor in a light blue uniform. "Ms. Decker, right?" he asked as Chloe nodded in confirmation. He smiled warmly at her.
"It's just been confirmed that you will be able to leave in a couple of hours as long as your vitals stay constant" he replied. She sighed a sigh of relief and looked at the man in the corner sitting in the chair who had a calm tone to his face. He studied the doctor suspiciously and she laughed out loud. A little too loud.
"Thanks, doctor," she said back to him and as he exited, he closed the door behind himself.

"Hey, what are you laughing at?" he asked, an offended tone in his voice. She giggled again before taking a breath and forcing her head down back onto the pillow, indicating that she wasn't going to answer his question. He eyed her closely, studying her beautiful golden blonde hair reflecting off of the sun and the sheet on the hospital bed that hugged her curves in all the right places.

"Oh I see how it is," he said, taking a glance at Trixie and leaning in before continuing to whisper into her ear: "Once we are out of here, you'll see what kind of fun we can have". He heard her groan, or a gasp maybe, at his words and then put a hand on his chest, pushing him away from the bed, making him stumble backward and chuckle.
"You. Are. An. Ass," she spelled out for him, which allowed him to chuckle even more.
"Don't worry. You will be out of this dad-forsaken place soon enough", he said as his laughter died down, as well as his seductiveness. She looked at him as if he was some kind of project she was studying.

"Are you okay?", she asked, clearly trying to hide her worry in a question. He sighed and looked in her direction.
"Just stressed. Don't worry about it love". He smiled warmly at her and she returned the gesture. Pulling the chair along towards the hospital bed and sitting beside Chloe, he placed a hand over her free one and she sighed, relaxed at his so simple touch.

"Do you want anything from the vending machine?" Lucifer asked as he stood carefully from the chair, removing his hand from hers. She shook her head but whimpered at the sudden shiver that the loss of contact caused. He chuckled slightly in response.

"Don't worry, love. I will be right back. I'm only going to grab a quick coffee," he smiled and she nodded, pulling the child in her arms closer to her chest. Exiting the room he quickly dashed down the hall, hurrying down it so he could get back to her as soon as possible. He saw that certain nurse from before. He sighed, running a hand through his messy curls before grabbing the quickly made coffee and getting back to Chloe's hospital door.

When he walked in, it was oddly silent. Looking up from where his eyes were before, he saw Chloe looking up to the ceiling, mouth hanging slightly ajar, while Trixie hugged her side from under the covers. She stirred slightly in her sleep and tooked her head further into the pillow behind her head as Lucifer smiled at the two.

"When she awakes, she will be able to go home", said the same doctor from before as he knocked lightly on the door.
