Kiana POV

Magnus had finally come up with a plan to help Luke, the others were out collecting some ingredients he needed to help Luke heal.

"Your very unique" Magnus said out of nowhere "hmm" I hummed towards him "I knew from the moment I saw you that you were very different from the others" he said looking over Lukes body again waving his hands as he spoke.

"Magnus, I have a question to ask" I said to him, with him talking about being different it reminded me of my very near death experience, "anything" he said he attention now on me "when we left the other day after - you know the demon" I spoke him nodding at me "they said I died, my heart stopped but then i just woke up I felt fine" his eyebrows scrunched together a little before leveling out "ask you question little one" he said sympathy in his eyes "how is that possible" I quietly muttered walking closer to him.

Luke started jaulting and muttering words again, Magnus switched his attention and magic back onto Luke, I could see he was getting tired, things around us started rumbling, I knew he couldn't hold on much longer.

"help me" he struggled to say slumping to the side I ran to him and clenched his hand he jolted up like he had a shock and his cat eyes appeared he clenched my hand tighter but just as he was about to say something Jace and Simon burst back through the doors Clary following in-suit "we have everything"

"Clary, put it all in the bowl and make Luke drink it" I shouted at her over the sound of rumbling and Magnus struggling she ran to Lukes side and forced him to drink the cream coloured liquid as she pulled her hand away from him everything went silent and the rumbling stopped.

"Clary" Luke said, his eyes opening and breathing became softer.

I looked at Magnus, his head resting against my shoulder "are you okay" I said to him he smiled softly and nodded.

We all were ready to go back to the institute. We were just waiting for Clary to finish her little discussion with Luke, no doubt about her mother after all that's the only name he was shouting when he was out of it. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket picking it out. I saw Alec's name clear as day on my phone. I looked up at Jace "why were you with Raphael?" he blurted out "I don't know" I just said before turning away from him to answer the call.

"Alec" I said softly before being cut off by him ranting away "Alec take a breath" I said down the phone placing my hand on my head "We are on our way back in a moment we can talk then" I said he finished with a "fine" before putting the phone down on me. I turned back to face the others ''what" I said to them all as they all quickly found something else to stare at "you ready to go I have a raging Alec to see" I said sarcastically my conversation with Magnus slipping my mind with all the things that were happening around us.

Back At The Institute...

We got back to the institute in no time each of us splitting off to do different things, me? I went straight to my bed. I knew Alec wanted to talk but I felt so drained it must have been Magnus's magic. I changed my clothes into shorts and a plain tshirt and climbed onto my bed as I let out a big sigh. There was a knock at the door and it didn't take a genius to figure out who it was.

"Come in" I shouted "finally, you're avoiding me" he said marching into my room pacing back and forth I got up off the bed and closed the door behind him. I didn't need the whole institute to hear the lecture I was about to get. I turned back to face him.

He just sighed, his arms by his side and his face filled with sadness he came closer to me "Alec" I said in a bit of a warning tone not wanting him to start something I'd struggle to stop "Just hug me back" he said in a soft voice before engulfing me in his arms tightly "Please" he whispered making my heart break I place my arms around his body tightly and put my head on his chest.

"This is the first time I've held you since you were dead" he said quietly his arms loosening from around my body "Why him" he said now sitting at the edge of my bed, I sighed and sat next to him "honestly Alec I don't know, I just needed to be somewhere away from here, your mum she got into my head I let her get into my head" I said sadly looking to the ground " what did she say to you" he spoke clearly whipping his head to me "she's right we are breaking the laws Alec, we never should have crossed that line" he put his hand on my cheek and brought his face closer to mine.

"I wouldn't take any of it back" he whispered rubbing his thumb over my lips, he placed his lips against mine gently his hand now on my cheek, he stopped and took my hand in his "they want me to marry" he said not making eye contact with me "someone with importance to restore the family name" he continued my heart ached, and a lump was forming in my throat I felt like bursting out into tears "say something" he said to me turning back to face me.

"Kiana" he said louder this time now standing in front of me "I - erm" I stuttered not knowing what he wanted me to say to that "She's right" I said not fully believing my own words "are you crazy, I don't want to marry some stranger" he paused "I want to marry y-" I cut him off quickly before he finished that sentence "no Alec" I said I knew I needed to be the bad guy me and Alec we could never have that even if we both wanted it its against the law we'd both be banished I couldn't let him put himself in that kind of position.

"It's a good idea" I said to him calmly now "you could be happy with someone who could give you that kind of life Alec" "what about us, me and you I love you" he tried reasoning "I don't love you Alec not the way you want me to I'm your parabiti thats all I can ever be" I said walking towards the door opening it I saw a tear slide down his cheek before he walked out of it he stopped and looked at me "I still love you" he quietly said before walking off.

I slammed the door before storming over to my dresser, knocking everything off straight onto the floor. I slid down the wall and just sat crying into my hands.

I picked my phone up and dialed a number, I could never forget "Kiana" the voice said down the phone "I need you, I need you as my friend that you once were" I said, my voice breaking from the previous crying.

"Always Amore" he said softly.

It can't be hard to guess who she called!
