Magnus Bane

Alec's POV

"All clear" I said standing behind Jace with Kiana by my side "do you think red's my colour" Izzy piped up gaining everyone's attention "Iz, with a body like yours, everything's your colour" Clary smiled towards Izzy, "Good point, Damn, I make this necklace look so good" Izzy Said Smirking down at the necklace around her neck.

I hated it when she messed with things that could get her in trouble, "Will you take it off, i'm certain Magnus Bane doesn't want drool on his ruby when we make the exchange" I said to her rolling my eyes out of the corner of my eyes I saw Kiana look the other way and wince a little but as soon as Izzy started talking about that god damn ruby she was facing her smiling and acting fine.

"Just give it to Jace. '' I snapped at Izzy, she's my sister and I love her but she doesn't need the attention 24/7.

"You're such a buzzkill," she laughed at me, never taking me seriously. it's like i'm a big joke lately.

we finally got into the club after waiting in the line for 15 minutes "Blend in, but keep your weapons ready" Jace said to us all walking away to find Magnus with Clary following closely behind.

"Standing there like a statue isn't really blending in Alec" Kiana laughed at the side of me "it's not exactly my thing, you know that" I said back to her grimacing at the sweaty dancing bodies around me. she walked forward a little before she started to sway her hips to the music she was definitely good at blending in she smiled at me and held her hand out 'she looked so innocent standing there' "ow" she whispered to herself but I kind of heard it slightly "what's wrong Kia" I said now standing right in front of her, I lifted her head up slightly so she was looking at me "I just keep getting these weird headaches, they come and go" she tried to shout of the music her eyes kept squint I presumed that was when it was hurting.

"I'm fine Alec, i'll get someone to check me over back at the instutue" she said waving her hand around in front of me "yes boss" I said back to her the last thing I want is her going off onone in the middle of this stupid Club.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw what seemed to be a portal open up, not standing far from it was the redhead that turned my life into chaos.

standing right behind whom I presumed to be magnus bane was a circle member "Look out" Izzy squealed from near me as I readied my bow and fired hitting him perfectly, Kiana ran passed me and down to Jace and CLary she looked over to the man laid on the floor confirming his Circle Rune on his neck.

"who are you" Magnus Bane said out loud his eye site clearly following Kiana, just as he said it he headed for his portal Clary leaping forward "Magnus Wait, your my only hope" she said quietly to him "Valentine found us, I warned your mother this might happen" just has he said that Kiana delicalty said my name catching my attention immediately she was holding herself up against a pillar "Kiana what's wrong" I jogged to her said holding onto her she was really unsteady "I-I" she stuttered placing her hand to her nose "What's happening Alec" she whispered so the other couldn't hear they were too distracted with Clary (no surprise).

Kiana wiped her nose on her sleeve quickly as Magnus looked over to her with a weird look before leaping through the portal it closing straight behind him.

Izzy walked over "the area is secure he was the only assassin" "Clary we need to go" he didn't give anyone a second before her was already walking off "CLary he said again calling her to him" I looked back at Kiana who was lightly holding the back of my shirt "can you walk" I said to her in a hushed tone "yeah it's gone, i'm okay now I haven't eaten today maybe it's just that" she said showing me a weak smile before walking off in front following the others.

Outside the Club

"Jace" Izzy shouted I turned back to see Clary just stood there "Clary, we have to move" he said to her sounding a little pissed off "I'm catching my breath" she snapped back at him clearly catching him off guard, I met Kiana's gaze and she looked so tired and fed up "you know what? this is great" I said pissed off "not only did magnus not get the girl her memories back, he took the necklace, this is fantastic" I huffed "Alec, the girl her name is Clary and I highly suggest you keep your voice down" Jace snapped cutting me off "Why?"I stepped forward closer to him "what, are you afraid i'm gonna upset her? we have risked our lives again and again for this girl, and where has it gotten us? all right? nowhere. We're no closer to getting the Mortal cup and we've lost the institute's necklace" I finished starring Jace down.

"Hey, I am right here, I don't care about your damn jewelry" she shouted at me. She started walking closer to me but Kiana walked right in front of her stopping her in her tracks ''I'm sorry you're gonna look bad in front of your bosses, okay? But my mother is still missing and my last chance at finding her just disappeared into thin air" she said, her voice getting louder and louder as she tried to walk around Kiana to shout at me some more.

"back off" Kiana scowled clearing getting annoyed at her random dramatic outbursts "or what Kiana, you gonna slap me pr hit me" she turned back "Clary, Don't tempt me" Kiana said now stepping closer to Clary "Woah" i said grabbing Kiana's arm pulling her back to me her back against my chest whilst Izzy pulled Clary closer to her.

Jace stood next to Clary now "Clary, it's gonna be fine" he said trying to calm her down whilst i could slightly feel Kiana shake or shiver against my chest I place my hand on her arm and the shaking stopped, I had a really weird feeling about Kiana something is wrong, she's sick or something.

I tuned back into Jace and Clary's little argument to Jace saying she gives up too easy he was holding something in his hand that she was about to throw he walked away from the group and help the object tight i pressure it belong to magnus and he was trying to track him "what's he doing" Clary said looking up to me and Kiana "he's tracking Magnus" Kiana said moving away from me now.

"The button belonged to Magnus, Jace can pinpoint the location using that" Izzy further explained to a very confused redhead.

"no" Jace said, shaking his head and walking back over to us. "The signals were not strong enough, Magnus must be blocking the track" he said looking over at me 'i knew exactly what he wanted me to do'.

"you two will have to do it" he said looking at kiana throwing her the button "Kiana I dont think thats a good idea" I said worrying about her she could barely stand 10 minutes ago but she just shook her head "we're doing it" she took both of my hands and help on tight her bright blue eyes staring right at me.

"what are they doing" Clary said in a hushed tone "parabatai tracking" Izzy said a smile growing on her face "of course they are" Clary looked at us in disbelief "when parabatis track their power grows stronger, Kiana and Alec aregonna track magnus together" she explained to Clary.

i could feel myself getting closer to Kiana slowly losing myself in her mind as she concentrated on the button. "this whole parabatai thing seems oddly intimate, if you ask me" Clary grimace from somewhere at the side of me "you don't know the half of it" Izzy sighed back at her.

My face was inches from Kiana as she pulled away from me breaking her hands from mine "Got him" she said smiling at everyone she started to walk ahead Jace followed catching up to her to find out where magnus was, I looked back at the girls who were stood staring at me i gave a little awkward shrug and followed Jace and Kiana to Magnus's lair.
