"Shadi get your short ass over here!" I heard my friend Lilith call. I made my way through the crowd of people at the party to get to her.

Curse my short and skinny frame. It makes it difficult to shuffle through all these tall people.

Once I got to her I saw her talking to another girl. I ran my fingers through my untameable short red hair that framed my green eyes ringed in dark eyeliner.

"Shadi!" Lilith finally noticed me, the fuckin' ditz she is, "This is my friend Lyndsey. Lyndsey, this is my friend Shadi."

"Nice to meet you." she smiled, extending her hand to shake mine. She had long light brown hair, with beautiful hazel eyes.

"Nice to meet you too." I smiled, shaking her hand. You're freaking gorgeous! "Lynn here is a single pringle who's ready to mingle." Lilith giggled, nudging me.

Single? This girl? No freaking way. She's too beautiful to be single! And could she actually be gay? Lilith wouldn't mess with me like that... Oh yes she would.

"Lilith!" Lynn exclaimed, giving the girl a gentle push, then turning back to me, "I just recently broke up with my ex girlfriend, but I'm not looking to fuck someone."

Oh holy freckles and bowlegs in the Impala! "Sorry to hear that." I told her. "I'm not." Lynn laughed, "Feelings were gone, it was a mutual thing."

Sweet baby in a trenchcoat, thank Chuck! "Well, good then!" I smiled, just as Lilith scurried away to give us space. Or get drunk and suck someone's face off. Ya never know with her.

Lyndsey and I wound up dancing for awhile, and were a bit intoxicated. Unfortunately for us, some guy drunk off his arse came over to hit on us.

Lyndsey took one look at him and rolled her eyes, then turned to me. "Wanna get out of here?" she offered.

"God yes!" I groaned. She linked her arm through mine and pulled me out of the house, grabbing one more beer on the way.

The cold air hit us instantly, making me half tempted to go back inside and just have Lilith handle the guy.

"You cold?" Lyndsey guessed, wrapping an arm around me as we reached the sidewalk.

"I'll adjust." I smiled at her, leaning my head on her shoulder. "So tell me about you." she said after a minute.

"I'm just Shadi. I write, I love music and Supernatural. Destiel is the bæ. And I'm hella gay." I replied.

"Glad you like music," she chuckled, "I'm a singer." "In a band?" I asked, finally breaking free to look at her as we walked.

She took a sip of her beer before saying, "Yup, we're called Pvris." "Sounds interesting." I smiled.

We continued walking and reached a little park, so she pulled me over to the swings.

"Really?" I giggled. "Absolutely!" she cheered, sitting and starting to swing. I joined her, and we competed to see who could get highest the fastest.

To no surprise, she won. "Ha! I beat you!" she crowed, kicking her legs in excitement. "You started first!" I argued.

She dug her feet into the ground to stop herself. "Race you to the slide!" she proclaimed.

I jumped off and on her count, we both took off. I scrambled up to the jungle gym and managed to reach the slide first.

"No fair!" she whined. "How is that not fair?" I argued. "I like winning." she shrugged.

I moved aside and said, "Here, I never actually touched it so free shot." Lyndsey's face lit up like the sky on 4th of July.

She slapped her hand on the slide, then sat on it. "I win!" I laughed at her childlike behavior as I answered, "Yes you did."

She pulled me down so I was in her lap, then pushed us down the slide, cheering on the way down.

We both fell off at the end due to our combined weight, making us both laugh now.

"I'm too heavy for this!" she squealed, holding her sides as she laughed. "You're not heavy." I told her, tickling her right side.

She screeched and flopped like a fish, so I kept it up. "I- I can't- oh God!" she gasped, so I let go of her.

Lynn sat up and caught her breath, so I stood and pulled her to her feet. "I see what you mean about it being cold." she grumbled.

"Wanna head back to my place?" she offered. "So long as you keep in mind I'm asexual." I replied.

She shrugged. "I really don't care. I'm interested in your personality, not your body. I respect your wishes."

I smiled. "Thank you." She extended her hand to me, so I took it and laced our fingers together.

When we got to her place she gave me a set of her pajamas to wear, which were a bit baggy on me. She thought it was funny.

"Don't you laugh at me!" I pouted. She pulled me in for a hug and kissed the top of my head.

"How does Frozen, ramen noodles, and cuddling sound?" she asked, then quickly added, "Feel free to say no to cuddling."

"Cuddling is okay, you loser." I laughed. I sat with her while she made the food, and then we ate while watching Frozen and singing along at the top of our lungs.
