Author's Note: Trigger warning for assault! Also this is really crappy I'm sorryyyyyy
I heard a group of guys whistle at me, and made myself ignore it. I just had to get through this alley to my car and I'd be fine.
Normally I could pass through this alley after the late shift no problem, but tonight it seemed that wasn't an option.
I walked quicker, pulling my jacket tighter around me to help protect against the frigid night air.
"Hey, where ya goin' sweet cheeks?" One of the men called out to me. I ignored them again and walked a little quicker. Why is this alley so long?!
I heard a couple pairs of footsteps behind me, and then someone grabbed me and turned me around.
"Give me your wallet." one growled. The other was pointing a gun at me.
"Please just leave me alone." I whimpered, trying to shake myself free of the man holding onto my arm.
He threw me against the side of the building, causing me to fall to the ground with a groan of pain.
"I said give me your fucking wallet, bitch!" he repeated, then kicked me in the stomach.
I cried out in pain, curling into a ball to try and shield my vital organs from further assault.
He just kicked me again, and then I felt a gun against my head. "Give us the wallet." he spat at me, "Or we'll take something else..." His voice trailed off as he slid his hand between my thighs.
"Someone help, please!" I screamed, trying to push him away. In that instant, both men went flying, and there was another man standing in front of me, facing away.
"I suggest you two leave." the man said. One of them chuckled darkly. "Blow his fuckin' brains out." he told the other, "Then the girl."
I heard him cock the gun, and then two loud snapping sounds in unison, and saw both men hit the ground. Their necks were broken.
"Oh my God." I tried to scramble away from the man still standing. He turned and pulled me to my feet, then placed a hand on my stomach, and the pain went away.
"Are you alright, Abby?" he asked. I barely managed to nod, amazed by what insane, impossible event just took place before my very own blue eyes.
"How do you know my name?" I questioned, taking a step back and brushing part of my shoulder-length blonde hair behind my ear.
"I'm Ricky, your Guardian Angel. And I wouldn't be a very good one if I didn't know your name." he half smiled.
"Oh, by the way, I like our tattoo." he told me. I frowned. "Our tattoo?" He nodded and turned, lifting his hair to show he had a small tattoo of Angel wings on the back of his neck, just like I do.
"Any tattoos you get appear on your Guardian Angel." he explained, "Kinda glad I didn't get your nose piercing though.....No offense."
"Gee, none taken!" I said sarcastically. For an Angel, he's kind of an asshole. "So, off to home now?" he asked.
"You're my Guardian Angel, can't you read my mind or something?" I snapped, walking away from him towards my car.
All I wanted was to go home and sleep this off, I'd be fine then. Now to ditch the emo choir-boy over here.
"Angels can't read minds, actually." Ricky told me, hurrying to catch up. I mentally groaned and started walking quicker.
"But it's probably in your best interest to go home, get some rest. I couldn't actually heal you, I just numbed the pain." he informed me, sounding apologetic.
