~Probably gonna be long soo brace yourself!~

"Four assignments down, four to go..." I muttered to myself, shuffling through papers to put them away so I could continue studying.

I've got a couple big tests in college coming up, and I feel like no matter how hard I study for them, I won't be prepared.

For that reason, I'm rereading everything the test will be on, making flashcards, quizzing myself, etc.

I slipped a few papers back into my binder before pulling out a clean sheet to write on, and then my boyfriend TJ walked in.

"Heya sexy!" TJ smiled, leaning against the wall to face me. "Hi." I answered flatly, turning to a new page.

"All work and no play makes Jade a dull girl!" he joked, ruffling my hair. I smacked his hand away.

"I really don't care, TJ, nor do I have time to 'play.'" I huffed, trying to focus on my book.

"Come on, let's go watch a movie or something." he suggested. "No, TJ, now leave me alone." I snapped.

"What crawled up your rear end, a cactus?" he chuckled, poking my cheek. "Dammit TJ!" I exclaimed, "Will you stop it?!"

His eyes went wide as he looked at me. "Jade what's the matter with you?" he hissed.

"Do you have any idea where my sweet fun loving girlfriend Jade went? Cuz right now I see some bitter girl that doesn't give a fu.ck about anything other than her books.

"And honestly, I don't really like her." Angry tears filled my eyes when he said that, threatening to spill over.

"What, are you dumping me?! Well I'm sorry that you're happy ignoring education, and just running around with a band getting drunk all the time!" I yelled.

"I'm actually trying to learn something here and get good grades, unlike you! I'm not gonna wind up the fu.cking failure my parents were and think I am!"

TJ closed his eyes and shook his head, then pulled me out of my chair and hugged me tightly to his chest.

"Jade, you're not a failure. At all. You don't need perfect grades, you get good grades without devoting every second to studying." he said calmly.

I sniffled as I shook my head. "But they always said I was lazy, a failure... I don't want them to be right about me.."

He kissed the top of my head as he ran his fingers through my short, black hair, gently rocking me from side to side.

"Baby, they're wrong. They couldn't be more wrong about you. You're the smartest and most hard-working girl I know. Except for me maybe."

I giggled despite myself, letting go of him with one hand to wipe my tears away, keeping the other locked around his neck.

"Why don't you take a break for now, okay?" he suggested, "Just let your brain rest, and then later if you'd like I'll help you study."

I considered the offer for a few moments before nodding. "Alright then." he smiled, then pressed a soft kiss to my lips.

I locked my other arm back around his neck as I kissed back, his hands sliding down my skinny body to my hips.

He walked us backwards so that my back hit the wall, then slipped his tongue in my mouth when I gasped.

I gripped his hair with one hand, sliding my other up his shirt. I felt him smile before whispering, "Bedroom?"

I nodded quickly, so he scooped me into his arms bridal style and carried me out of my study room and into the bedroom.
