I sit in the desk surrounded by papers. My mom and Jax sit across from me. "Honey, are you sure you know what you're doing? Your father worked hard to build this family."
Next to her Jax scoffs. "What my wife decides, is none of your dead husband concern."
"Hey." I warn him. He gives me a heated look, making me blush. Ever since we said I love you to each other, I can barely look him in the face without blushing. It's like we share this private secret with each other.
Ignoring them both I get to work on signing the papers. Who knew the mafia was so organized? Just a few intials here and there, and you've given away over three hundred people. This is insane. "And what do you plan to do about red death?" My mom ask.
"Once the king's mafia is under my control, we'll take the next steps in dealing with them. But first I need to get control of our family mafia." And to do that he'll have to kill his dad. Something him and Damian have been working on since our wedding. I bite my lip, looking at the ring on my finger. I can't believe we actually did it.
"There's no time to wait, they're coming after her. Do you care about your title more than my daughter's life?"
"Enough mom," I glare, slamming down the pen. "It's done, the family is now his." Sliding the signed papers to Jax, I go back to admiring my ring. I never expected to actually get one, but when Jax pulled this beauty out of his pocket. I fell in love with it.
Jax pull out his cell, no doubt texting Damian to get the family together. The plan was simple. My dad's mafia will storm his father household while we're still here. Once his father is cornered, he'll either hand the mafia over to Jax willingly, or they'll fight to the death. "Sophia I'll have someone pick you up and take you to the local hotel until this is over."
"What?" All my focus goes to him. "You can't just dump me off!"
He stands from his seat, holding a hand out to me. I roll my eyes. Why does he think just because he holds his hand out that I'll come to him? "It'll be too dangerous for you here."
"I agree Sophia." My mom cuts in. Now suddenly they can agree on something?
"I believe that's my decision to make." I stare at them both in shock. Then glares at Jax, holding up my ring finger. "We make decisions together now, or did you forget that?"
He sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'll consider your opinion on the next decision. But for this one, it's already been decided." He's such an asshole.
"And if I refuse to go?" I challenge him.
"Then I'll tie you up and lock you in the trunk of a car." Why do I get the feeling he's not bluffing?
"Please honey, I'd feel so much better knowing you're on the sideline." Great, now she'd playing the concerned mother card. I can't go against that.
"Fine!" Jax holds out his hand again. I round the desk to take it.
"I'm sending my best men with you. You have permission to order as much room service you'd like." Oh I plan to.
We leave his office going to our bedroom, where he orders me to pack a change of clothes. "You need to work on your manners, husband." Grabbing a small duffle out the closet. I eye the bag, I wonder what kind of shit he's stuffed in here before. Maybe a head? Thousands of dollars?
"I only put clothes in there." He chuckles from behind me. Seeing me staring at the bag he must've guessed what I was thinking.
I sigh. "Let my imagination be." Arms wrap around my waist, pulling me back against his chest.
"Say that again, without the sarcasm." His face hovers next to mine.
"What?" My mind is blank, all I can think about is his arms around me. We haven't had much private time since the wedding. So much for a honeymoon.
Suddenly his arms hook underneath my legs, lifting me from the floor. "What are you doing?"
"Giving my wife some much needed attention." He grins, laying me on the bed.
"Right now?" I blush. "There's people waiting for us." Even though my mouth protest, my body comes alive at the idea. My nipples hardening from the simple contact. He slants his body over mine, elbows on either side of me to keep himself up.
"Let them wait." His mouth crash to mine, silencing all protest. My arms go around his neck, pulling him closer to me. Just like the first time we kissed, I'm amazed by how soft his lips are.
I groan when he bites my lower lip, slipping his tongue in my mouth. He uses his knee to nudge my legs apart, settling comfortably between them. My face warms at the bulge I feel, pressing hungrily against my core.
With one hand he pulls my shirt up, breaking the kiss to pull it over my head. "Say it again." He whispers in my neck, hand sliding down my body to the buttons on my jeans.
"What?" He bites my neck softly, emitting a moan from me.
"What am I to you?" His hand slips in my jeans, rubbing me through my panties.
"An asshole?" He bites down harder. Ok, wrong answer. I think back to what I said earlier. "Husband?"
He groans into my neck, moving my panties to the side. I moan when he slips a finger in. "Again." He slips another finger in, working them both in and out. "Sophia." He growls.
"Y-you're my husband." My back arch, chest pressing against his. Oh this feels amazing.
"Damn right." Sitting back on his knees, he removes his fingers, yanking my jeans and panties down. "We have to be quick."
I bite my lip, watching him remove his pants next. "I thought they can wait?"
"They can," he says, kicking them to the side. His boxers following soon after. His erection stands out against his body, pre-cum dripping from the tip. Once again he places himself above me, lining himself up with my entrance. "But I can't." He says, filling me in one push.
