I wake up screaming, sweat covering my body. A beeping sound fills my ears, just as a door nearby flies open. Jax eyes are wild as he rush over to me. "Sophia? What's wrong?"

Calming my racing heart, I look around the room. The hospital room, not the cell. I breathe a sigh of relief, I'm safe, Jax saved me. "I'm sorry." The look in his eyes says I terrified him with my screaming.

He blows out a breath, sitting in the chair next to my bed. Where I suspect he's been all night. "Bad dream?" I nod. "I swear if I could kill those bastards again, I would." The clock in the wall behind him reads two o'clock pm, I slept the whole night.

It hurts to smile, so I give him some sort of grimace. "Who knew the bossy Mr.Ablergo would turn out to be a Knight in shining armor?" I joke.

He laughs softly, though there's this haunted look in his eyes. "Every female knew Mrs.Ablergo, why do you think I'm so wanted?" He winks. This time I ignore the pain, giving him a real smile.

"Cocky much?" I try to sit up, winching in the process. Jax gets up to help me, frowning the whole time. "This isn't your fault."

He gives a humorless laugh. "It's only my fault. I killed his son and he came after you." His hands clench into fists on the bed. I reach out my hand, grabbing his fist.

"True it is your fault," I grin. "But I don't care Jax."

He shakes his head. "Of course you don't, you're dumb like that." I glare when he flicks my forehead.

"How did you find me? How long was I missing?" The questions have been eating at me since I woke up.

He sighs, sitting back in his chair. "Your mother helped, without her I wouldn't have. And," he pause, looking at me with that same hunted look. "four days, you were gone for four days."

My mind goes blank. Four days? I was trapped for four days with those monsters? I gulp, imagining what would've happened if I was there longer. Jax reaches out a thumb, swiping at a fallen tear. I hadn't realized I was crying. "I'll never let anyone else take you away from me." Leaning forward, he captures my lips. I sign into the kiss, I missed this feeling. I missed him. My only thought while I was captured is that I'd never get to see him again. Never hear his infuriating voice.

"Is she up ye- Oh." We break apart, breathing heavily. Aly stands in the doorway, Damien behind her, a smirk on his face.

"You two planning to bump uglies in the hospital room? Should we come back later? Though I should warn you the nurse is on her way, you'll probably have five minutes top." His grin widens. "Perfect amount of time for my brother."

Aly elbow him in the stomach."Do you ever shut up?"

Jax scoffs. "Sadly he doesn't." They walk fully into the room, Damien grabs a chair pulling it up on the opposite side. Aly climbs in bed with me. Jax frowns. "There's another chair over there."

"Oh hush." She tells him, snuggling up to me. I smile at her, laying my head on her shoulder.

"I've missed you."

She sniffs, laying her head on mine. "I've missed you more."

The four of us sit in silence until the nurse comes in, ordering Aly out of my bed. "I'm going to take a few blood samples and get you some more nutrition. You'll be good to go in a day or so." I nod, holding my arm out for her to take the sample. "I'll be back in a bit." As she's walking out my mom walks in, face red and blotchy. Aly and Damien accuse themselves.

"Oh Sophia," she rushes to the bed, grabbing my hand. "I never wanted this life for you." She sobs, tears flowing down her face like a river. My own eyes water.

"I love you Mom." I understand why she kept so many secrets, kept me hidden. And right now I couldn't be more thankful for her. Jax decides to accuse himself, mumbling about women and their tears. I snort a laugh.

"That man loves you more than anything else in this world." My mom comment when he leaves. I blush at her words. "He was like a man possessed trying to find you."

I place my hand on top of hers, surprised to feel them shaking. "Mom, are you ok?"

She nods. "I've always worried about your safety, worried they'll find you. But now I don't have to. I know Jax will take care of you." Why does it sound like she's saying goodbye?

"Mom, what's going on? What's wrong?"

"I'm leaving. Some of the red death members are still out there. It's not safe for me here." My heart squeeze at her words.

"Mom no, you can stay with us where it's safe." She shakes her head.

"Jax gave me a pardon, allowing me to have no association to the king's family. I'm finally free." Her smile is happy and stress free. My mind tells me to argue with her, demand that she stays. But who am I to keep her from happiness? I have no idea how long she's been holding my father mafia together since his death. She deserves a break.

"Promise me you'll write me wherever you go." She chuckles.

"I promise." We hug, and it's hard for me to let her go.

One hour later...

Jax and I sit in my room, munching on chips he stole from the vending machine. "How did you get them out again?"

He laughs. "I kill men for a living Sophia, you don't think I can force a few chips out of a metal box?" I grin at him.

The door opens and the nurse from earlier walks in, holding a bunch of papers. God I hope she doesn't want me to sign all of that. "Mrs.Albergo, how are you feeling?" She asks, walking over to some machines.

"Much better than I did earlier." I have a feeling the chips helped.

She smiles. "That's good, a happy mom means a happy baby." Jax chokes on the mouthful of chips he just swallowed.

"Excuse me?" He says. The nurse looks from his startled face to my shocked one.

"Oh, you didn't know?" She sighs. "Your wife is three weeks pregnant." My eyes widen. Three weeks pregnant? I do the calculation in my head. Oh my God! The first time we had sex. My eyes dart to Jax, he stares frozen at the nurse, mouth hanging openly slightly. I bite my lip, trying not to laugh at his expression.

"Jax?" He snaps out of it at the sound of his name. His eyes travel from my head to my stomach.
"We're having a baby." He says, then smiles at me. "We're having a baby Sophia."

I smirk. "I told you it must've been the girl." He laughs, jumping up to place a kiss on my forehead. I can't believe it. Jax and I are having a baby.
