Its been 5 weeks since I last saw Bucky. Steve had left to go to war after somebody offered him a job. I was alone again. I've been lying in my bed starting at the roof most the time when I heard a knock at the door. I ignored it at first. Then I heard it knock again more slower and louder. I got up and went to the door. A man in a suit is smiling at.
"can I help you?" I ask hoping its not a tax advisor.
"You must be Nicole Beckett! I used to work with your mother!" His words make me go numb
"I never knew I mother... I'm sorry I don't know who you are." I goes to close the door but he stop me.
"Please this is important." he says stopping the door. "Please I just need 10 minutes."
"Come in." I say letting him pass.
"thank you." he says walking in
He sits at the couch and I sit across from him. He brings out his suit case.
"My name is agent Joshua Williams, I work for the SSR, or otherwise known as Strategic Scientific Reserve. your mother was my boss. We worked against the Nazi to win the war. Its a top secret organization. Why should you Believe me? If it was top secret I wouldn't tell you, You wouldn't tell an ordinary girl from Brooklyn stuff like this." He handed me a file that said: SSR. I began flipping through it.
"Your mother gave birth to you in order to have someone who would be able to stand the energy for Project Rebirth."
"Project Rebirth?' I say remembering what Steve told me.
" My friends signed up for that." I say
"Oh your friend is Steven Rogers?" He says
"yes I knew him since I was 16."
"Well if you want to know we needed a male and female subject to be super-soldiers to win the war, your friend is one of them, and you will be two if you accept."
"Why me." I ask
The man stayed quite for a bit before answering.
"your mother injected her self with a serum. It didn't work and she almost died doing so, but when she gave birth to you, you were able to with stand the energy." he says
"so my mother gave birth to me so that I become a lab rat." I joke
I see his serious face and stop smiling.
"Miss. Beckett I must ask do you or do you not accept this offer"
I think for a moment. If I don't go I will get kick out of Steve and mine's apartment. but if I do go I might be able to see Steve and possibly Bucky too.
"I'll do it" I say with confidence.
He smiles "great them follow me."

Okay so I have changed Things up a little bit, Nick and Steve go to the Project Rebirth place but come home for a week before going again Just to let you know. :)
