In the forties. Your best friends with Steve and Bucky. But when the war comes everything changes. Steve, Bucky and you soon the century. When you wake up your life changes again, being an Avenger life gets a bit tougher.
"Are you ready" Howards asks me as a nurse gives me penicillin. I look at him with saracasm.
"yes i cant wait to be experimented on by something i dont even if know it works." I smile
"great. Start the procudure!" he yells at the other scintests.
I feel the machine lifting me upwards and the lid closing down. it went all black but a small window gave me light but it didnt really help scince the lights were amlost gone
"Hey Becket can you hear me?" howard says tapping on the little window.
"Unfortunately yes!" i yell back.
he laughs. "Okay Hit the Button!" He says to the other scintists.
I feel the blue cold liquid running threw my body. I clench my teeth and fists. The pain freezes for a moment. then i scream as the pain runs through my body like fire.
"Nick!" Howards yells "turn it off!"
"NO! I CANT HANDLE IT!" I scream back.
the pain blasts threw my body like i've been hit by lighting multiple times. For another 20 seconds it feels like this.
I see more light as the lid of the machine opens. I look down. My Arms and legs are more defined i cant tell im stronger, faster.
"Woah, it worked!" Howard exclaims
"What it was going to before?" I said with more sarcasm.
I look down again my hand begin to glow a purple plasma like electricty

"Um... Nick something went wrong." Howard says as he takes a small step back.
"Oh really i thought it was normal that humans make a plasma ball everyone now and again.

After a lot more blood tests and scans the only thing going differently is the blue liquid. Howard is concered and Peggy was deported 2 weeks ago. I hoped Steve was okay.
I wrote him a letter.
Dear Steve,
Its Nick incase you forgot. They did the thingy and it worked. I hope your doing alright. Have you met Peggy she seems nice. I hope your not dead yet. Is there anyone like you over there. Has Bucky sent you anything yet?

I decided not to tell him about the things that happen to my hands.
" I have the results!" Howards said waving the file that contains infomation about me in the air. "You are with Child"
"Hilarious." I roll my eyes and sit up. Spending the last few hours bed-struck were quite boring especially since i am usually training.
"You have clearly became stronger, and you know have better reflexs something went wrong with the procedure and you have gained some sort of powers. Plasma energy is running threw your vains right now and i believe its the only thing keeping you alive right now. Any questions?"
"Yes." I nod, slowly taking in all the information he just said. "When can i see Steve."
"I dont know but you can look at the paper." He says handing me todays newspaper. "Captain America? That's the best they could do?"
"Yes and if they see you their also going to give you a name too."
