The amusement park is farther away than we thought and Metias made the mistake of giving June the aux cord so now we are all suffering through the weirdest music I have ever heard. I have no idea where she finds this stuff. Half of it doesn't even have words, it's all instrumental like it's her study playlist or something.

"Turn it offff" Eden groans dramatically. "I'm going deaf. June, you're going to make me lose a second sense!"

I laugh and bump him with my shoulder. "Don't worry, I have a plan. We'll get the aux back soon." I grin at him and lean in close to tell him what I have planned.

"Stop the car I'm about to throw up!" I shout and it works like a charm. She starts freaking out and tells Metias to pull over. He does so and I jump out of the car, pretending to heave. Inside I can see Eden fumbling to plug my phone in and Metias laughing. He must have figured out our plan.

June comes rushing over to me but once she realizes that I'm laughing she stops dead in her tracks. "Oh, you little shit!" She shouts. I know I'm in trouble when she starts sprinting at me. She tackles me and we both go rolling into the tall grass in the ditch.

I can't stop laughing as I stand up, covered in small twigs and leaves. "Ok, I probably deserved that but your music sucked"

"You did it for the aux!" She exclaims. "I have a mind to tackle you again just for that!" I snort, grabbing her arm.

"Come on, our brothers are waiting for us." When June and I are detwigged we hit the road again.

A few minutes later, Eden tugs on my arm, and I lean in close to hear him over the good music. "Do you have a hat?" He asks me.

"Why would you need a hat? You're just going to have to hold it on the rides anyway."

"I, I don't want anyone to see my scars." He mutters so quietly that I can barely hear him.

"Oh, kid. No one's going to care. And if they do, then screw them. That just means that they feel so insecure about themselves, they have to make fun of a kid to feel better. It means they're miserable."

He shrugs, "I guess. I just don't want everyone to be looking at me."

"Trust me, they won't. You look completely normal." I say

"I think you're opinion is fairly biased on this certain topic, taking into account the fact that you're my brother and everything." He pushes his glasses up and I scoff.

"You know you always push your glasses up when you say snarky stuff like that. Is that like natural or are you doing it for the effect?"

"I find it gets my point across more effectively if I perform a classically quote-unquote smart gesture such as adjusting my glasses." This time he takes them off and puts them on top of his head.

I burst out laughing. "You are the most obnoxious child everrrrr"

"It's why you love me." He says grinning.

"You're absolutely right, I do love you." I put my arm around him and pull him close.

Just then June shouts "We're here!" Everybody out of the car." We all climb out and wait for Metias to pay for us. When he's done I grab one of Eden's hands and June grabs the other, guiding him.

Every now and then I say "Up" or "Down" or "Step over"

When we get inside the park Eden squeezes my hand tighter. "It's so loud here," he says and I can tell by his posture that he's uncomfortable.

"Want to ride on my back?" I ask.

"Ooo yes please." I crouch down and June helps him up.

"Ok which ride first?" I ask
