17: Where Did You go? Part 1

"If you don't sit down I will make you take supplementary lessons." Aizawa said, narrowing his eyes. Nao sighed and sat back down in his seat. Maybe leading everyone on a sugar high, curtesy of Sato, induced karaoke contest wasn't one of Nao and Kaminari's brightest moments.

"I'm already taking them!" The blonde groaned as he sunk back into his seat. Nao laughed and pat his friend's shoulder in sympathy. This bus ride was torture and it was finally almost over. Nao wished he could hang out with Kendo or Momo since they were pretty close now but unfortunately 1-B had a separate bus and Momo was dead asleep.  

Shinso wasn't on their bus either and Todoroki secretly gets motion sickness so Nao wasn't going to bother him. Midoriya looked excited talking to Iida about something so naturally he turned to his friends from the opposing faction, the bakusquad. 

But much like every other time Nao and Denki try something everyone enjoys it except Bakugou and Aizawa. He wished that his pops had gone instead, he would have joined the sing along. Alas pops was at home with Vanilla Bean. This also meant Nao wouldn't be there if his parents tried to get in contact with him. They had called from a payphone after the exams to ask how it went and tell him they had reached Vietnam. He may or may not have cried like an absolute baby that night. 

He shook his head and tried to clear the less than pleasant thoughts. Noa stared out the window to confirm they were, in fact, in the middle of no where. Even they weren't allowed to know where they were going after the location shift. Suddenly, the bus stopped with 1-B and soon after. 

Everyone filed out of the bus stretching out their cramps or trying to wake up. Nao practically jumped off the bus steps and took a deep breath. Ah, the great outdoors, somewhere Nao knew nothing about. It would be nice now to mention that Nao grew up in an apartment in Masutafu and literally went on 1 vacation. He barely even got to go to the park until he was 10 and running around the city alone. 

So the hero in training was super excited to learn about the outdoors and experience a summer camp esc environment. Especially with his class and a few new family members on it. 

"Hello U.A!" A woman said. She was dressed like a cat and standing next to a similarly dressed teal haired woman. "We're the...Wild Wild Pussycats! Welcome to training camp!". 

"Ah! A veteran hero team with 12 years experience! Specializing in mountain rescue!" Midoriya squealed excitedly. Pixie Bob did not seem enthusiastic about the reveal of her age but she let it slide for now. Nao perked up at the words 'mountain rescue'. Maybe he'd get more than just combat training out of this. 

"Alrighty campers!" Pixie Bob cheered "Activity 1 is the trek to the mountain base where the training will be held. Any kitty cat that doesn't make it there by 12:30 doesn't get lunch!". 

Not realizing that they were starting, some people began walking around or talking until a landslide threw them all over the side. 

"Do you think they'll be okay Eraser?" "Well, most of them will be.". 

Nao was in a sticky situation. He didn't really like the idea of being thrown off a mountain, so he had bubbled himself life 15 feet from the ground. Problem was now he couldn't really land anywhere but right below him. Sero, who had caught himself on top of Nao's bubble, jumped right off and a few more students looked up.

"Um, how do I get down?" Nao asked nervously. 

"I'll catch you!". Todoroki and Midoriya looked at each other. Had they really said that at the same time? The two looked at each other in utter shock for several moments. Carefully, Nao dissolved the bubble and dropped easily into Kirishima's arms.
