Aizawa was in for one awkward silent car ride while he explained to Nezu the situation and why he wouldn't be returning to work until the kid could go back to school.

"How long did they say it would be?" The pro hero groaned, attempting to sink further into the seat.

"Technically I'm not supposed to go back at all, but the doctor said I could go for the last two days so I can take my exams." The lavender haired boy explained, awkwardly playing with his fingers. "Uh, Eraserhead, thank you so much for taking me in like this. I promise I wont be any trouble and I'll move into the dorms when I get into high school!" the boy said sounding very determined.

"Relax kid, you don't have to act like I'm sacrificing my life. This is part of a heroes job. Also, call me Aizawa when I'm not working, it'll be weird if you call me Eraserhead around the house." Aizawa explained, slightly less annoyed than he was before.

It was a hero's job to protect people yes, but this was definitely not in his job description. He wasn't quite sure how to proceed with the kid, if he screwed something up Nakabayashi would go right back to his forcefield and he couldn't in good conscience toss glass all over someone.

A slight smirk made its way onto Aizawa's face as he made a Cinderella joke but it quickly left as they reached his apartment. "I'll help you out, don't hurt yourself all over again." He called to the boy as he exited the passenger seat. Aizawa helped the boy out of the car and kept his arms ready to catch him until they reached the front door. "Your room is down the hall, I'll go to your house to bring whatever I can from your room tonight. Has anyone notified your uncle of this?"

"I called him before I left the hospital and he just said...well he said it was okay and that he would put all my stuff in a bag." Nao said, sounding utterly dejected. In actuality his uncle had laughed and said 'good riddance' and that he hoped Nao was in state care by the time his parents came back so they wouldn't have the pressure of looking after him. Well, there were a few more swear words and insults in that conversation than in the recap, but you get the idea. Pile all that rejection onto a plate of 'my second favorite hero ever started essentially fostering me' and you've got Nao's morning, served cold.

He was overwhelmed to say the least, but luckily Erase-Aizawa seemed to be very understanding. The bedroom was pretty standard, twin bed pushed against the light grey wall with a small desk next to it. It even had a window, which was distinctly missing from Nao's old room. "So, you'll be resting in here until your stuff comes, do not pull your stitches Nakabayashi." The pro hero warned. Sure he was kinda being scolded, but it felt good to have someone worry about him so Nao smiled.

"Gotcha! You can just call me Nao," He suddenly realized who he was talking to, "Ah! Only if you're comfortable with it. By the was I'd just like to say I'm a huge fan and I wanted to be just like you and-I'm making this weird." Nao trailed off, mumbling the last part.

"Nao it is then. Feel free to watch he tv in the corner just don't do or search anything dumb. I have to go back to U.A and grab my stuff and pick up yours from your house. I'll be back in about half an hour." The pro hero said with sigh. Nao nodded and turned his attention back to the room as Aizawa left.

The teen couldn't quite process the last 24 hours. He had been stabbed in two places, put two people in jail, been cast aside by the only family member he had left, at least that he knew of after the whole 'his parents abandoned him when he was young' thing. Oh and he had been taken in by his second favorite hero of all time. It was too much to think about and by the time Aizawa had shut the door Nao was fast asleep.

--- --- --- --- ---

Aizawa was used to dealing with not nice people. It was a daily and, on patrol, almost hourly experience. What he was not used to dealing with were parents, or in this case, legal guardians. He supposed he would have to meet some of his student's parents when he started teaching, so this could be a test run. See how well he could converse with the guardian of a child you're helping.
