Nao had developed a horrible habit. It wasn't uncommon for teens his age, but Aizawa had no idea how to actually parent so it was becoming problematic. Especially on the first day of school.

The foster parent had agreed to let Nao take the train to school instead of being driven. This was a mistake. Aizawa had to leave early since he was a teacher so typically he would just leave Nao without concern, but this is where the habit comes in.

"Nao! You need to wake up." Aizawa insisted as he grabbed the blanket off the teen. Nao just squirmed and put up a bubble. The hero quickly erased it just for Nao to pull the sheet off the bed and wrap himself in it. Sometimes Aizawa missed the times where Nao was still star struck over him and listened to everything he said.

But this was the problem. Since getting accepted into U.A Nao had been sleeping much more, but all in the morning. The teacher had no idea what he was doing all night if not sleeping, and he wasn't sure he did but Nao's sleep schedule had gone from insomniac to nocturnal just a few days before U.A. "You need to eat breakfast and get dressed." The exhausted hero sighed "I can't leave if you're not out of bed or you're never going to get out of bed."

Another bubble enveloped the teen earning a quick erase. "Don't overuse you're quirk before you even get there." Aizawa scolded and left the room to feed Vanilla Bean. Nao groaned and wiped his eyes.

Sometimes he missed the days, i.e. three days ago, when Aizawa would let him sleep whenever he wanted to because he hadn't been sleeping well before. It wasn't fun to sleep at his uncle's place, he had a constant fear of the ceiling caving in and killing him so he was a light sleeper with insomnia. But it was really nice and quiet and the ceiling was covered now so he had started sleeping more. Some part of him must have realized the importance of today and he shot to the bathroom.

"This is it." He mumbled while he attempted to tame his hair. It was a lavender coloured disaster and honestly he was getting sick of it. At the sight of his own, fully healed face, Nao couldn't help but wonder 'will U.A be different?'. Of course in his imagination U.A was a place filled with friendship and laughter. A place where no one would bother him about being a 'pretty boy' and he could train. But as reality came crashing down on him he realized that he had seen that people could be mean. Everyone dissed that green haired kid at the entrance exam and Nao was only excluded because he was silent.

Unfortunately the melodrama was cut short when he heard Aizawa tell him to hurry up. Shirt buttons were difficult, so were remembering his backpack. In the end he was sitting on the train watching a tutorial of how to tie his own tie. It seemed he had barely gotten it tied without a chance to tighten it when the robotic voice called out his stop.

The boy scrambled out and spilled onto the street, walking quickly as he approached the glass building. It seemed to stand above everything else making Masutafu seem like it was meant for ants. Nao's heart thumped in his ears as he tried to look as normal as possible amongst the other 1st years. Sure he had been to U.A a few times to train but the practice room was old and was being remodeled. Plus Aizawa took him in the staff entrance which had not prepared his heart for the entrance exam or today.

The door to class 1-A stood in front of him, impossibly tall and impossibly intimidating. Logically he knew that it might be his foster parent on the other side, but since he didn't know which class Aizawa was teaching how could he to be sure? How was he to know that whatever teacher inside that room wouldn't take one look at him and tell him to head to gen studies?!

Nao had traumatized himself before he had even gone inside. Truly he hadn't even noticed the green haired boy standing frozen right next to him until he opened the door. "Ah! You're from the-"
