A/N: The kids are 9 years old

Lafayette POV:

"I'll be home before dinner. Don't forget to feed Baguette!" Peggy said, rushing out the door.

"Well Baguette, looks like it's just you and me." I said. Baguette whined.

"What's wrong girl?" I asked. She layed on her side and kept whining. She kept panting a lot. I realized she was sick so I carefully carried her to the car.

I made sure she was comfortable then drove to the vet. Every red light, I reached to the back of the car and pet her. When we got to the vet, I rushed inside and gave Baguette to a nurse. A vet followed the nurse into a back room so I called Peggy and told her what happened.

I was freaking out! Peggy would kill me if Baguette died. This is all my fault... even though I didn't know how it was my fault. Peggy walked in the door as the vet emerged from the back room.

"5 puppies. They are all very healthy." Said the vet.

"WHAT!?!? PUPPIES!?!?" I yelled. Peggy looked at me and laughed.

"I guess I forgot to mention that Baguette was pregnant." Said Peggy.

"THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW!!!" I yelled.

Peggy just laughed and laughed (or should I say Lafed and Lafed).

"So now we have to raise 6 dogs!?" I yelled at her.

She kissed me to shut me up. The vet put all the puppies in a carrier, including Baguette. We took the carrier to the car and drove home.

Peggy went back to work and I played with the newly born puppies.
