BARRY POV:
After everything we've been through these past months, if they thought we were going to have some peace, they were very wrong. As much as we wanted peace, every time we defeated a metahuman, another one followed right away to make our life more difficult. This time the name of our metahuman villain was Abra Kadabra. Abra Kadabra was stealing from several tech companies in an attempt to build a timeship to return to the 64th century.
After he appeared in STAR Labs and after ambushed Caitlin, Cisco, and Joe , I managed to lock him up, trapping him in one of our prison cells for metahumans. However, he tried to make a deal with Joe, and if he released him, he would tell us what Savitar's real name was. After thinking about it for a while, Joe decided to accept the villain's proposal, without saying that everything was just a plan for him to be free.
He then went to collect a mysterious future power source from the Time Vault and set off an explosive as the trio attempted to chase after him upon his escape. The resulting explosion impaled Caitlin's side with shrapnel. We took her to the med bay and helped her onto the bed. Caitlin showed signs of physical pain, as she was breathing heavily and moaning. Cisco, then, tried to stop the bleeding with a T-shirt while the rest of us decided how we were going to help her.
HR X-rayed her and found she had bits of metal wedged inside her that needed to come out. Caitlin refused to go to the hospital as they will find out about her Killer Frost identity. Cisco told us that Caitlin couldn't operate on herself but Caitlin said if she had a mirror, she could talk someone through the surgery. Soon after Caitlin talked Cisco though her own surgery. I helped stop the bleeding as Cisco operated.
As Cisco came to the last piece of metal he found that it was stuck, as he tried to get it out, Caitlin's heart rate began to increase dangerously, causing the rest of us to worry. Cisco told her it was going to hurt as he pulled the metal out, Caitlin screamed in severe pain . A few hours later, Caitlin woke up to find only Cisco at her side. Cisco tried everything to make her forget the way she was.
- Stop it, don't make me laugh or I will bust my stitches.
- Is that lime jellow? - asked HR.
- It's all yours, HR.
- Are you serious? I love the lime ... I love the lime.- said HR while living the room, leaving me alone with Caitlin.
- You were really worried about him, weren't you?
- Promise me that you will never, ever tell him that.
- Cross my heart and hope to ...- Caitlin stopped mid-sentence and passed out and then she started seizing.
Cisco panicked and called for help. Me and HR, we went, running, to the edge of Cisco and we tried to hold her down, but she suddenly stopped moving, with the monitor recording her heartbeat flat-lining.
- She isn't breathing.- said Cisco.
HR began giving her chest compressions and told Cisco to get the oxygen mask and place it over her mouth. They then tried the electric shock, but everything was unsuccessful. HR tried more compressions while Cisco continued giving her oxygen but Caitlin wasn't responding and they couldn't resuscitate her. Cisco started crying, realizing his best friend had died.
"What do we do now?" I asked desperately.
Seeing Caitlin's body lifeless on the bed was making us desperate, because none of us knew what would be best to do next and it was then that I remembered the only thing that could save her. So, without a doubt, I removed the necklace that Caitlin had around her neck, hoping that her metahuman powers could regenerate her wound and save her life.
