Just a Kiss

A new metahuman attacked Central City and this time the name of this metahuman was Hannibal Bates. He has the ability to Shapeshifting, that is, he is able to shapeshift into any person he had physical contact with, even copying the clothing they were wearing and their voice. This power allows him to instantly change the color and texture of his body, allowing him to replicate clothing and other materials on his own body more effectively.

After adopting Eddie's "skin", he ran on ahead, intercepting two cops that he'd called for backup. He shot them both dead, before shooting out the police camera. The following day he headed to the West house to find Barry, who was incredibly surprised to see him free of police custody. Barry was promptly knocked out, before Hannibal shapeshifted into Barry. Caitlin Snow arrived soon after.

- Barry, it's me.- said Caitlin entering the house.

- Hello, you.

- I think I found a way to stop our shapeshifter from morphing into other people.

- Oh really?

- What if I create a serum that will terminate the polymerization reaction essentially forcing the bonds to revert to their original form to stopping him from beinh able to control his powers.

- You can do that?

- Yeah, I think so.

- Okay.

- What's wrong with you?

- Nothing ...

- Look, about last night, I can't imagine how hard this must be for you, I mean I know how desperate you are to solve your mom's murder but let's just bury the hatchet and we'll go back to STAR Labs and figure out how to catch this everyman.

- Everyman?

- Bad nickname?

- No ... No I kinda like it.- said "Barry" smiling.

- Okay good, me too.- said Caitlin and they left the house together.

While there, Caitlin revealed the plan to him, believing him to be Barry. In an attempt to distract her from creating a serum to disrupt his shapeshifting, as well as being personally attracted to her, "Barry" kissed Caitlin, causing her to be confused and to pull away.

- Barry, I ...- Caitlin said but he kissed her again this time with her mutually kissing back, although they stopped when they saw that Iris had arrived.

Iris came in to show them some leads, but before he could kill either of the women, Dr. Wells tasered him, identifying him as Bates due to his not being right-handed like Barry. Since the man who accompanied Caitlin to STAR Labs this morning was not Barry, she decided to go back to Barry's house and look for him, finding him lifeless, in the closet.

Already, with Barry aware of what happend, they both returned to STAR Labs. Caitlin tried to stay focused on what Iris was saying, yet she couldn't help thinking about the kiss that had happened not even an hour ago. Although the kiss did not happen to the real Barry Allen, what Cailtin felt with the kiss was real. It was impressive and scary at the same time, that with a simple kiss, she realizes that perhaps her feelings for her friend and colleague, Barry Allen are not just friendship.

In the control room, while Wells explained to Barry what Hannibal Bates had done this morning and how Caitlin had made a serum that would help us capture him, Caitlin couldn't help looking at Barry and remembering the kiss this morning. We can say that just kissing was driving her crazy, because she didn't know how she would react next to Barry, because whenever she looked at him, she just remembered what had happened and that made her even more confused than she was already.

- Wow that's great work.- Barry said, touching Caitlin's shoulder, who just pulled away a little.

- Thanks ... No need for a hug or anything like that.

- Okay.

At this moment Barry noticed that something was going on with Caitlin, but he didn't know what it could be. Shortly thereafter, Caitlin's computer signaled that there was Bates activity, so Barry went to the location that appeared on the computer. With some difficulty, Barry managed to capture Bates and thus bring him to STAR Labs.

- Do you know what's up with Caitlin? Whenever I talk to her, she gets nervous.- I asked Cisco.

- I have no idea, you won't have done anything to her?

- Have you asked her what's going on?

- No. Even if I wanted to ask her, whenever I see her she runs away from me.

- Yeah, so I don't know how to help you.

- She was like this after both of you came from the room where you made the serum, - said Iris, who was about to leave the laboratory.

- You can always consult the recording from the surveillance camera this morning, - said Cisco, smiling.

I know he was kind of playing around with the situation, but the idea was not a bad one at all. I took advantage of the fact that he went to the armament room, from Wells with Caitlin to the Jitters and went to the main computer to look for the recording from this morning's surveillance camera. Now I understand why she is so strange about my presence. But what went through Hannibal's mind to kiss Caitlin, even more so with my image.

"Why did you kiss her?" I asked as soon as I got to the cell where Hannibal Bates was.

- Because I felt a chemistry between us. And let me tell you something, your friend kisses very well.

- Don't be an idiot, okay.

- The truth is that the kiss happened because I had to find a way to distract her so she wouldn't continue making the serum, but I really felt that there was something between us.

Barry knew he had to talk to Caitlin, as they couldn't go on like this, but that would only happen the next day, as he had to think of the best way to talk to her about this. At home, they both thought about the same thing, but at the same time with different approaches.

While Barry was thinking about how Caitlin must have felt when she learned that she was kissing a friend and in the end discovering that he was a villain. And Caitlin just thought that she had to forget that kiss had happened and she had to forget the feelings she had for her friend.
