I felt the Hound's warm breath against my chest. When I thought it was over, Gold let out a yowl. I opened my eyes and saw that he wounded the Hound, blood flowing out. At first, we all thought we would all be able to escape, but we were wrong.
The wound may have caused the Hound's leg to go limp, but he still had energy in him. The dog came after us, but we ran fast. That Hound, though, was quick. He caught up with us and grabbed Cream by the neck, his head shaking in victory. Cream hissed at the dog, knowing her life was coming to an end.
"I will not let you kill her!" yelled Gold.
He leaped at the Hound, claws unsheathed. The Hound tried to scratch him, but he could not find skin through his thicker coat. He let go of Cream after being scratched suddenly by Gold. Soon the Hound yelped and surrendered.
"This is not the end!" yelled the Hound. "I went easy on you three, but next time beware!"
The Hound walked away, leg still limp. I could not believe my eyes. Gold beat up the Hound, despite this thin shape.
"Gold, I want you to forgive me for not believing you." I said. "Please forgive me."
Gold looked shocked at my words. His eyes looked soft and forgiving.
"I forgive you." said Gold. "And I haven't caught your madam's names. What are they?"
We quickly told him our names. When I saw his eyes, I knew I had made a friend. Then, I saw the worried look in his eyes. I knew there was something else on his mind.
"I have to leave." said Gold. "I have just regained a part of my memory!"
