Noah was leaving in 2 weeks. No, Less than that. 12 days. I have 12 days to keep him for myself. I just got him, why would I ever dream of letting him go? I have no clue, but he is leaving. Nothing I can say could ever stop him, I wont let it. He needs to go live his dreams; whatever they are. Even if its not a life with me, atleast he'll be happy. Right?
. . .
October 23rd, 7;48am, 2014
I have 11 days left with Noah. Its my plan to make them the last. Because even if we don't find each other again, like he promised, at least I could say I enjoyed every moment I had with him, up until the airport gates, waving goodbye.
My alarm goes off at 8. I groan and hit it, yawning. I sit up, stretching. Today's the day Noahs taking me out to some field by the city limits, aka a date. I plan on spending every last minute with him, so I accepted his invite.
I get up, finding my way to my closet. I look around, something warm enough for the cool autumn breeze, yet not too hot for the sun that pokes through the clouds.
I reach for a hanger with a jean jumper. Its a denim romper; one I bought freshman year, he told me it looked amazing on me, hence why I bought it in the first place. I grab my platformed sandals from my shoe rack and throw them on.
I cover over any imperfections Greyson had left on my skin. Even though Noah knows about them, and accepts me for them, I don't want anybody else to see them; including my mother.
I rush downstairs, phone in my hand as I waited.
" Morning, Dear!" Mom peers from around the kitchen, looking me up and down.
" Going out?"
" Yeah- Noah's taking me to some field-?"
" Alright Darling, be home by dark." She tried to put on her best normal parenting voice, it totally falls over, she starts laughing at the sound of authority in her own voice.
I love my mother, but she wasn't really a mother to me. She is more of a friend. She doesn't really parent me. She didn't mind what I did, as long as I was safe and responsible, she didn't care if I stayed out all night partying or traveled out of state, as long as I made it home safe.
With that, I heard a car pull into the driveway, Noahs. I glance out the window. I turn and wave goodbye to my mom, then I rush out to his car. The breeze hits me, cold and crisp. My hair flies around in the wind but I didn't mind. It felt nice.
I Buckle myself into his car, then I glance over to Noah, who was smiling at me.
" What's that look for-?" I question him.
" Nothing..!" He smirks. Somethings up here.
" Noahhhh! Cmon! Tell me!" I made a pouty face.
" Alright! Fine! But ONLY because You're my weakness-" His dimples showed as he smiled down on me.
" That outfit. Freshman year. I made you buy it. I remember. You couldn't decide if you hated it or loved it. You looked so amazing in it- so I told you- and you ended up buying it. It just brought back some memories-" He looks into my eyes, recovering the memories of the past.
" I remember that!" I laugh a little.
" And- May I add.. You also Still look gorgeous in it."
I looked back up at him, smiling.
"Just drive already!!" I start to grow impatient with excitement. 'An adventure,' as he stated it over the phone. As long as I was with Noah, I didn't care where I was. He could take me away t another dimension, I wouldn't mind, as long as he was by my side, always and forever.
" alright! Alright!" he laughs, reaching up and he turns the key again, restarting his car.
After about 10 minutes of town we reach a sign that shows the city limits, any point beyond that was part of the next city over. he turns off the road, into a field.
" Woah- Easy there- I think you might have missed the road-" I Start laughing, teasing him.
He parks the car, trying to hold back his laugh.
" Nope! I'm right here, where I'm supposed to be. Cmon, ill show you!" He hops out and runs around to my side. he opens the door for me.
" Wow- Such a gentleman. Thank you."
He flashes me those dimples again.
Those dimples.
My favorite smile.
My favorite person.
He grabs my hand and runs, I run alongside him, our hands locked within another. He stops, looking around.
"Lost??"
" Nope- I just- Lost my direction-" he holds back a laugh, not wanting to admit it.
" Oh, We are SO lost-" I burst out laughing.
" You're right!" he loses his composure and starts laughing too.
He glances at me before looking around again, he looks again, taking a second glance.
" Stop looking at me!! It's Creepy!" I Jokily hit him.
" Oh really?! Offended!" He dramatically gasps.
He shoves me gently, then he faintly smiles.
" Do you wanna go? Right here right now? I will SO destroy you!!" I Laugh, pretending to throw a fist.
" ITS ON!" He grabs me, laughing.
I manage to break free of his careful grip, running.
He chases after, eventually catching up to me. He pulls me back to his chest.
I pant frantically, trying to catch my breath. I smile up at him. I could do this forever.
He twirls me around, I giggle, my heart racing.
I step back, spotting something behind him.
" Noah- Look~" I pointed at the picnic set up behind him. He turns.
" Yes! We found it!" He cheers, running over to it.
" So- you set this up?"
We approach the setup, a blue gingham blanket, laid out. A few throw pillows on the back edge. A picnic basket in the corner, and a stack of blankets. He planned this.
He set it up.
" Did you- Do all of this yourself?"
He nods, his eyes captured on me.
He sits, I sit beside him, looking around at the scenery.
The rest of the day we look up at the clouds. We took a walk through the forest, we were back by sunset, watching the pretty colors fill the sky. Then when it got dark, Noah gave me his jacket. We watched the stars glow. I fell asleep in his arms under the stars.
