Heiji's POV
Never once in my life I would dream to witness any burnout of the unbeatable Shinichi Kudo, not that I never wished of it, but I never meant it to be something like this. Worse, I had my fingers on what causes this. And as if I wasn't feeling guilty enough, he gave me a call the other and asked for my help to recollect the facts. On top of that, he still able to speak nicely to me, not knowing the fact that I was struggling to give him my proper apology because I stupidly fell asleep that day, when I wasn't tired at all.
So here I was, on a first train to Beika, eager to do everything to redeem my mistake, to put off all uneasiness I had in every cell of my body. Clearly, the thought of you being unable to solve a case would drive yourself crazy, especially when it has to do with people close to you. And especially when both of you are detectives, and you were always proud of it. Sigh.
It's been a month and we still had no idea where the little lady went off to, and still couldn't found the reason why. With Kudo having his mind scattered, and I swear to God he looked broken hearted, we haven't had any proper discussions about anything at all.
Funny when you suddenly started to count down the days as soon as you opened your eyes everyday, all because someone wasn't around any longer, no matter how distant this person to you.
Furthermore, we still haven't heard anything about The Black Organization, and still anticipating something we didn't even know what. The insider was still unreachable, adding some more tension into the air, as if the current situation wasn't ugly enough.
That night, right after we realized the little lady was disappeared, Shuichi Akai went on the run, both to find her whereabouts and to find anything Black org. related. Did she really leave for good? Or was that a kidnapping? Was she alive or dead? These questions never escaped my mouth no matter how eager I was to let out, because Kudo simply wouldn't take any death option. He wanted to believe that Haibara only went on some kind of vacation, and that she would be back to us once she cleared her mind.
One thing bothered me lately was that one time, one night when she got home late, very late it freaked me out. Something clearly happened that night, but I had no idea if telling Kudo about this would be a best choice, not with his mind being all cloudy and out of this world.
The Haibara lady sure had shown us her loyalty all this time, but, I was still a detective with cautious mind, I was always opened to possibilities. Having zero comrades to talk about this was upsetting, knowing I never had anybody to discuss this kind of matters other than Kudo. How pathetic.
Lost in thoughts, I arrived at Beika Main Station with a far more gloomy mood than earlier. I picked up my belongings and rushed outside, couldn't wait to get myself comfortable inside Kudo Mansion.
I was inside the taxi, lean my head back on the seat, absent-mindedly looking outside the window when I spotted familiar figure.
"Stop! Stop! Please, pull over here."
It's Her!
"I'm sorry sir, I'm taking my leave here, here, please keep the change."
I hurriedly got off of the taxi, panting, searching for the little girl. I was sure it was Her, Haibara. She was gone now, but I had no intention to give up at the moment, so I continued to search through the crowd.
The figure once again caught on my sight, tea colored hair, wearing a grey jumpsuit, round up her hair inside a blue cap. She usually did that, to hide her face. I found you, Haibara!

A few meters away from The Great Detective of The West, who, desperately chasing on a nine years old girl, was a black sedan with three people inside. One of them was a fair lady with beautiful long silver hair and beautiful long lashes, holding a binoculars, like the last time she was high up in a tree.
In the driver seat was a man who had never been seen around this neighborhood, wearing a total black from head over heels, holding a not-so-expensive cigarette on his right hand.
Another woman, black haired, was seating next to the former lady, certainly uninterested on everything about this city, but seemed didn't mind of being around her current circle of companion.
"Well, well, look what we found." said the silver haired woman, still didn't let go off her binoculars. "Come see this, Kir. You wouldn't want to miss this scene."
The woman named Kir, as uninterested as before, tilt her head unwillingly towards her beautiful comrade. "What is it?"
"Here," said the silver haired, handed her binoculars towards her friend. "Take a look at the one in front of the flower shop. Just right across the street."
The black haired lady took the binoculars, leaning her figure towards the other side of her seating, set the binoculars to the direction pointed. Upon finding who was in front of the flower shop, her eyes widened. She took off the binoculars afterwards, cleared her throat, and positioned herself back to her seat as before.
"You wouldn't say anything about that, I see. But you can't hide your concern from me, Kir. Are you going to step back from us now?" The silver haired lady opened the trunk in front of her seat, mindfully took out a handgun, put in on a ready mode.
"What are you gonna do with that?" Kir asked, suddenly getting tense, studying her comrade intention through her face color.
"Easy, I'm not gonna use this in a broad daylight. Do you really think I'm stupid?"
"I know. Sorry, just take it as me being cautious."
"My dear, Kir. You really have to steady your ground."
"I am steady."
"Are you sure? You didn't look steady enough for me. Be careful, you might lose everything if you keep stuttering. "
The silver haired woman then close her passenger window, put her sunglasses on, and order the driver to take them away from their post.
