Chase held Lenora in his arms, trying to offer her some bit of comfort as she cried against his shoulder. "It's going to be alright Lenny... he isn't worth your tears.". She sobbed a little harder, trying to calm herself, but his words broke her even further "I.... I'm not... I'm not crying for him... I'm....." she held him tighter, looking up into his eyes "I'm crying because I hurt you... all of you... and now you and Devyn are fighting because of me.... I ... I just can't.. You would all be better off if I just died..". Chase shook his head, looking back at her "No... that's just your head lying to you... don't even think like that.".
.............
Devyn turned to face Alex, narrowing her eyes, focusing all of the hurt and anger built up inside of her to the boy standing in front of her "You make me sick.". He grinned, shrugging his shoulders "Whatever you say sweetheart.. I was just..." "Just what... just thinking that I'm stupid? Thinking that I'm some kind of desperate slut that is just gonna jump in your arms because OH MY GOD ALEX WANTS ME?". He stepped away from the wall, standing to his full height, towering over her "No... I may have hoped... but I've been watching you.. you're not some stupid chick.. and you're definitely not easy... maybe.. maybe that's why I'm attracted to you.". She stopped for a second thinking to herself 'he did not just say that'. "And besides... I know I don't have a chance... I screwed that up thinking that you were just some other girl.. I..." he looked down to his feet, speaking shyly "I wish I would have given you the respect that you deserved in the beginning... I'm sorry Devyn.. truly..".
She looked at the towering boy, standing there, looking like a whipped pup, trying to reconcile the image before her, with the image of who she had thought that he was. "I'm really not a bad guy Devyn... I ... I just.. I've made some bad choices is all..." he spoke softly as his eyes went from the floor to her eyes "How can I make this right?". She had never really looked at him before, other than in passing, knowing that he was popular for his looks. He really was a good looking guy, and those deep eyes, could penetrate right through to the heart when he set them on something other than your body. She began asking herself 'have I been wrong this whole time? Is he really just.. what is he doing?'.
Alex took a timid step closer, trying to keep his eyes focused on hers "I've been an ass... and I'm apologizing.. what can I do to show you that I'm sorry?". She felt herself beginning to doubt everything that she knew about him, until everything she knew came flooding back in along with the anger that was still fresh in her memory. She took a step back, feeling her arms begin to shake a little with the anger "You can die a slow miserable death and burn in hell Alex.... that should just about do it.". His eyes became ablaze in anger, all pretense of the shy, remorseful boy falling away. He took a step closer, grabbing her by the arms, bringing his face close enough that she could feel his breath on her face "Listen here you little whore..... I was trying to be nice... you need to learn some manners.". She struggled against the grip that was to tight to break free from, feeling his fingers digging into the muscles of her arms, using all of her self control not to cry out in pain "Let... me... Go....". He smiled wickedly at her "not until you beg me... beg girl... beg me like the little dog that you are...".
.............
Kiira stood to go, grabbing her things, giving Ethan a quick kiss on the cheek "I have to go baby.. I forgot to grab my things for next period.". She headed out towards her locker, stopping halfway across the room when she saw Devyn, staring down Alex in what appeared to be an intense conversation. She slowly made her way towards them, noticing Alex putting on his shy face, and the look of confusion that Devyn had. This can't be a good thing. As she got closer, she saw a fiery glow in Devyn's eyes, then pure anger in Alex's face as he grabbed her by the arms. Kiira quickly looked around for any of the lunch room attendants, and not finding any. Of course.. they're never around when you need them. She began to make her way towards them, seeing the anger in both of their faces, hearing Devyn tell him to let her go. There wasn't time to think, no more time to look for help, she didn't even realize what she was doing until after it was over and done.
