The next day, after helping some students in her class and spending the day helping Hank make some goggles for Scott, the three of them stood in the courtyard.

"The lenses are made of some ruby quartz I had lying around. They should be able to refract your optic beams and keep them contained within their own vector fields. " Hank explained.

"Try them on." (Y/n) added.

Scott nodded before taking off his bandage and putting on the glasses. He still kept his eyes closed until they knew the glasses were safe.

"Okay. Go ahead." Hank said before (Y/n) quickly nudged Hank.

"Wait, sorry, no." Hank said before turning Scott away from a group of kids.

"Now?" Scott asked, wanting to be 100% sure he couldn't hurt some.

"Yeah, you're good." (Y/n) said.

Scott then opened his eyes, but nothing happened. Thanks to the glasses he could now see. Granted everything was in red, but he could see.

"Thank you. Both of you are geniuses." Scott said.

"Naw, it was all Hank." (Y/n) added with a smile, making a bashful smile spread on Hank's face.

"Who's that?" Scott asked as he looked towards Jean as she leaned on a tree reading.

"That's Jean Grey. You bumped into her when you arrived." (Y/n) said.

"Wait, that's her?" Scott asked.

"Yeah." Hank said before he and (Y/n) walked away.

"So what are you gonna do now?" Hank asked as he and (Y/n) walked back towards the school.

"Well I have to grade paper, and I promised Peter I'd call him. After that I'm probably gonna spend the day in the library." (Y/n) answered as they walked through the doors.

"Well remember if you need anything I'm always here to help." Hank said before walking away towards the front door where a surprise was waiting.

📼

True to her word, after an hour of grading, (Y/n) Laid in her bed with her bedroom phone on her ear waiting for the other line to pick up.

"Maximoff Twinkie deliver services, what can we get you today?" A familiar voice said from the other side, making (Y/n) chuckle.

"Hello, I'd like to order two boxes of Twinkies and please send your cutest delivery guy." (Y/n) played along before the sound of Peter's laughter made butterflies explode in her stomach.

"Well miss, I'll see what we can do." Peter said, once again making (Y/n) laugh. God did he love that laugh.

"How was your day, love." Peter asked, finally dropping the skit, wanting to know about his loves day.

"It was good. I spent most of the day just grading papers and helping Hank." (Y/n) said as she laid in bed before turning on her tv showing the news.

"What about yours?" (Y/n) asked.

"It was alright. Played pac man pretty much all day. Oh, and I helped Lorna paint her nails." Peter responded before sitting in front of his tv and watching the news as well.

Suddenly both lines went quiet as both mutants saw what was being reported. The reporter stood in front of what was Erik's  house.

"Peter, are you seeing this." (Y/n) asked, hearing the same report through the phone.

"Yeah." Peter asked slightly shocked.

"Are you going after him?" (Y/n) asked. After Peter had found out the truth about his relationship to Erik, (Y/n) was the first to know.

Peter didn't answer, instead he looked down at the old card he stole from Charles ten years prior. Even though he'd taken (Y/n) to the school once, Peter had still kept that card all these years.

"Peter!" Ms.Maximoff exclaimed, making Peter change the channel and zoom towards his Mrs.Pac-man arcade game.

"What's up?" Peter exclaimed acting as if he wasn't watching the news when his mother walked down stairs.

"Just checking on you." Ms.Maximoff said.

"I'm good. Playing Pac-Man and talking to (Y/n)." Peter said, not taking his eyes off his game.

"Hi, Mr.Maximoff." (Y/n) said, even though she knew the older woman couldn't hear her.

"She says hi." Peter said to his mother.

"Hi, sweetheart." Mr.Maximoff said loud enough so that (Y/n) could hear her.

"Are you sure you weren't watching this?" Ms. Maximoff asked as she changed the channel back to the news about Erik. Peter just sighed but didn't stop playing pac-man.

"You're going after him, aren't you?" His mother asked.

"You wanted me to get out of the house more, right?" Peter joked.

"And you have. With (Y/n) and your sisters. You have a family, why do you need him?" Ms.Maximoff asked, once again reserving no answer.

"I can't stop you. Nobody can. But trust me, this won't end well. Nothing does with him." She added. When Peter slowly turned towards his mother after dying in his game.

"I'm not afraid of him." Peter said, while looking at his mother.

"You should be." His mother said before leaving.

Peter sighed deeply as he took a seat on his sofa.
(Y/n) also sighed as she heard the whole conversation over the phone. Just as she was about to speak up a loud noise and the sound of kids could be heard outside.

"Crap, Peter I have to go." (Y/n) said into the phone, making Peter sigh again when you realized he barely had time to talk to her.

"Just remember, whatever you decide to do, I support you. I love you, Peter" (Y/n) added, before another bang made her hang up the phone and run out.

"I love you, too. And I'll see you soon"

📼

After helping one of the students control his powers, he was the cause of the loud noise, (Y/n) crashed into Alex, Hank, and Moira MacTagert.

Alex quickly introduced the two women before explaining she was here to get Charles help. After Be walked down to the library on the far side of the school. This library was more for the teachers so there wouldn't be any children here, allowing (Y/n) to relax and read in peace.

While reading (Y/n) heard the sound of an explosion. The last thing (Y/n) sees is an explosion in front of here while she makes a shield before her legs are no longer on the ground.
