Scarlett's POV

"Hey Amy"

"Hm?"

"Random question, do you believe in aliens?"

"Why do you ask that?"

"Well...." I said jumping onto her bed. "There's this book I read about extraterrestrials and I'm honestly kinda convinced"

"What book?"

I picked up the book and handed it to her. She looked at me for a minute and then gave me this disappointed expression.
"Scar this is a fiction novel"

"Wait what? Let me see" I grabbed the book and looked it up and sure enough it was listed as a fictional story.
"Ugh come on, and just when I thought I could impress you" I mumbled

"Huh?"

"Nothing"

Just then Avery came in and said she was going out for a little with Jamie. They left out and I went to the living room. Of course Amy followed already suspicious of me even though I haven't done anything wrong.

I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge. We never have any good healthy snacks in here. Im kind of craving seaweed chips. But of course we're all out. The store is just down the street, I'll just ask Amy to walk with me so she doesn't have a meltdown about me leaving.
"Can you take me to the store down the street? I wanna get some seaweed chips"

She looked at me a little surprised that I asked her to go with me but said "Just wait till Avery and Jamie get back"

"But I want some now" I said leaning on the island.

"You can wait"

"Why are you being so stuck up? Shouldn't you be happy I'm asking to get food?"

"I am happy that your finally getting better Scar, I don't want to do anything that might mess that up"

I sighed and went to lay on the couch. There's no convincing her, I'll just wait for Avery and Jamie to get home.

A little while after that we got a call from them saying they were stuck in bad traffic and they'd be longer than expected.

"Well what do you wanna do?"

"Nothing"

I kind of want a drink. Like tonight is a champagne kind of night. The only thing is there's no alcohol in the house whatsoever. With Amy here I'll never get my hands on anything. Maybe I can try and convince her to take me to the convenience store since Jamie and Avery will be late. I know the convenience store sells alcohol in plastic bottles so I can try and steal one.
"Can you please take me to the convenience store since they won't be home till later"

"I said no Scarlett, we're staying here"

"I just want a snack. I never wanna eat anything and your really not gonna take me down the road for some Seaweed chips?"

"Scar" She said. I can tell she's going to give in

"Please" I begged as she finally obliged.

We walked out the apartment and went to the convenience store down the street. The walk was only like 5 minutes and when we got in me and Amy split became she decided to get something as well. I grabbed the seaweed chips and snuck over to the liquor cabinet and grabbed a bottle of vodka and stuffed it in my oversized hoodie.

We check out and got home without fault.
"Happy?" She said looking at me with her arms crossed.

"Yep!" I said as I took out the seaweed chips and and started eating them while watching tv. Amy went to our room and came back out with her homework. She sat in the kitchen and started doing it. I took the bottle of vodka and stuffed it between the couch cushions.
