Ryanz was in his apartment. He was sitting on the table doing some final edits on the financial reports on his laptop before he left for the gala.

All of a sudden a fire portal opened and Blaize stepped out.

Ryanz looked up. "Blaize?"

She gave him a weak little smile. "Hi."

"How did you know where my apartment is?"

"I mean you still live in the Fire Kingdom so it wasn't hard for me to find you."

"Oh."

"Your apartment is so nice and neat!"

"Thanks."

"Do you ever get anxious with this view?"

"No."

There was an awkward silence.

Blaize took a deep breath. "Look, we need to talk."

"About?"

"You. Us."

Ryanz sucked his teeth. "Look, if this is about-"

"Just listen."

"To what."

Blaize shook her head. "Please don't be like this. Let me explain."

She sat on one of the chairs next to him. She saw a Snapple bottle next to his laptop. The flavor of the Snapple was Snapple apple."

"Can I just say that Snapple apple is my favorite flavor?"

Ryanz nodded.

"Very-"

"Blaize, just get to it."

Blaize began to sing, " 'Is it too late now to say sorry? Yeah I know o-o that I let you down, Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?' "

Ryanz stifled his laugh. "Please don't sing again."

"Okay, Ryanz. Real talk, I'm really sorry. I didn't know- well I knew you liked me but I didn't think you were interested in a relationship and after your parents died you were so closed off and I didn't want to apologize and bring up this same subject to hurt you even more, so I started avoiding you. I'm not making excuses, I was wrong and I should've told you I was dating someone instead of acting like I was ready for you. The truth is I liked you back but-"

"See and that's the thing Blaize, you say you liked me back but you never broke up with him. In fact he broke up with you."

"I know! I was being stupid. I just- I didn't know what I was doing. When I came back I immediately thought of how close we were and how we let that drama come between us. You were my best friend before I even became close friends with the girls. I've known you ever since we were born! You were always there for me and I still want you to be. I'm not saying you should sweep me off my feet and kiss me a thousand times like those love stories but I want you to forgive me so I can finally be fully complete. I love you a lot and I really want our friendship to be back."

Ryanz took a deep breath.

"C'mon Ryanz! I'm sorry!"

Blaize began to sing again, " 'Oh! You're the passion in my life! You're the secret I can't hide. There will come a day, I can't wait to say-"

Ryanz winced. "Okay. Okay. It's okay. I forgive you. I mean c'mon you're my best friend and I love you too. But please, stop the singing."

Blaize laughed. "You know my singing is fabulous."

"Yikes. If that's fabulous, I don't know what is."

Blaize rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Hug?"

Ryanz nodded.

She gave him a hug and he hugged her back.

"See you at the gala?" Blaze said

"For sure."

Blaize stood up and walked over to his fireplace and swished her hands. The fire from the fireplace formed a portal for her and then she went through.
