T took the stand. He tapped the microphone.
"Hello everyone. My name is T-"
"I thought it was Winston?!" Jett shouted from the crowd.
Everyone rolled their eyes and muttered.
Vee shook her head at him. She was sitting with Eden. She couldn't dare to associate herself with Jett or the Darkness Kingdom right now.
T forced a smile. "Yes. My name is Winston but my friends and family mostly call me T. But as I was saying my name is Winston Airino and I am the CEO and co-founder of The Kingdoms Skin Care. As you all know, last year the other founder, my sister Breanna Airino died from Leukemia, a type of cancer. I sti-"
"It's a hard knock life for us!" Jett screamed out singing.
T glared at him. "I'm so sorry for the interruptions, it seems that we have a 9 year old trapped in a 21 year olds body."
There was laughter.
Jett rolled his eyes and shrugged.T continued. "As I was saying, I still consider her a founder because she was the one who even brought to me the idea of a skin care line when she was 16 and I was 14. We were both extremely good at chemistry and we loved skin care so we decided ...why not? But it all started from a mistake, which I'll get into another speech because this speech is just an overview. Years later, we saved money, our parents saved money. Two years later, we finally saved enough and we managed to rent a little shop. We wanted it to represent neutrality and we wanted EVERYONE to be included. So my sister thought of the name 'Neutral Skin Care'. I said no, let's think of something else. And then I told her 'The Kingdoms.' She smiled and said. "That's the one." In August of that same year, she was about to go to college. She wanted to have a degree in chemistry and after that, hopefully one in business administration"
"But a week before she was supposed to leave, she said she had unexplainable excruciating headaches, vomiting, and nose bleeding. We had a feeling her leukemia returned because she had it earlier on in her life, so we were familiar with the symptoms. But we thought that was done. We took her to the hospital and the doctor confirmed that her Leukemia had returned. We were devastated. But for some odd reason, she wasn't. I was like sis! Aren't you scared?! She said: "No. If I beat this, great. If I don't, fine. But first let's work on this skin care."
"She was able to go to university for a month but her symptoms were getting worse so she had to do online schooling. Two years later, when I was 18 and she was 20, The Kingdoms was ready. We had containers, we had people privately placing pre-orders because we didn't want it to get to the media until the day we opened the skin care line because we were worried people would think that we're successful because we're friends with Royals.
It still amazes me how much my sister was helping to create and establish this line while she was dying. She had more strength than I could ever have. On April 23 of that same year, she passed at the age of 20. A day before her death, she told me that The Kingdoms is going to have to go on without her, I ignored her. But she knew and deep down I knew, it was almost time for here to go. I didn't dare to open the line right after she died. I waited until a year
later to open it. I had to release this brand with the right mindset."My sister, she was a force of light in our family. She was the source of light in my heart. She was kind, beautiful, and just a straight genius in my opinion. She was one of the best things that ever occurred in my life. I miss her so much that words can't even explain. And I know up in heaven, she's watching and smiling."
"But I'm here to tell some of you that I understand you're pain. I've talked to parents and siblings like myself who have lost their sibling , loved one or lost their child to cancer. But I want to tell you that it gets better. It CAN get better and it WILL get better."
There was clapping.
T continued. "But I know that someday, we will find a cure for it. I know it. And so do all of you. That's why tonight we reached $3.5 million."
There was clapping and cheering.
"I managed to reach a point with Your Royal Highnesses Prince Marshall and Princess Nadine since they are the hosts. We decided that we're going to donate $2.8 million to the Pink Cancer Organization. The rest will go to other charities."
There was clapping and cheering.
"I want to thank you guys for listening to me and donating. Not only will Breanna's legacy carry on but so will your loved ones. I'll continue to make sure that The Kingdoms is for everyone. Thank you and continue to stan The Kingdoms for clear skin."
Everybody got on their feet and clapped.
