Y/n's POV:

I walk down one flight of stairs and turn around to Loki. He hasn't said a thing since we saw each other.

"Ok, I didn't come here in my car I left it at Wandas. I need to teleport to her house to get it and my clothes. Once I open this portal, you will walk through first and don't stop in between the places because it gets messy. Are you ready?" He nods. I shake my hands and focus. I feel the familiar warmth come into my hands and I open it up with much difficulty. He quickly walks through and I follow him.

I open the door and sit down on the couch for a second, completely worn out from the portal. It's already hard to teleport two people but I'm also weak from the fall so that doesn't help either.

Loki stays by the door and waits for me.
"Are you okay?" He asks quietly, as if saying it any louder would be too hard for him and might break this thin bond that's  forming between us. His question makes me think of the night before, how he looked and how worry laced his tone.

"I'm okay, just still worn out by the fall." I look up to see his reaction. He looks angry. Is he in the same position as I am? Does he not know how to feel just like I don't? I stand and walk to my room to gather my things.

"Make yourself comfortable. I might take a little bit." He looks down at the floor and I begin to pack my things in the other room.

I walk out of the room and try to lift my bag. It's way too heavy for me so i lift it with my mind. Loki is still standing by the door way and opens it, looking anxious to leave.

Once I'm in the car with my bag in the back, we pull out of her driveway. My apartment is about thirty minutes away but it begins to feel longer when neither of us make conversation.

Finally, Loki starts.
"So you told Tony that you fell off?" He asks. "No. I told him that I made the decision to jump and that it wasn't you." I answer flatly. It feels like I'm walking on thin ice, like I could say one thing wrong and we would begin fighting again.

"And why the hell would you do that for me, y/n?" I grip the steering wheel and thought about it.
"Because you saved my life." I look over at him. His jaw is clenched and he's looking out the window.

More silence.

"I didn't save your life. You are the one that made the stupid decision to jump off. You basically killed your self. That wasn't me." He doesn't make any sense.
"Maybe, but I didn't die thanks to you." I leave it at that, not pushing him any further because then he would push me too and I'm not ready for that.

Once we make it home, I go straight to the couch and lay down. I'm exhausted and a raging headache is pounding at my skull. God I missed being at home. Loki walks by me to get to the bathroom and comes out a few minutes later in a grey t-shirt and flannel pajama pants that look to be Thor's. His hair is pulled back in a low bun and I have to say, I kinda like it.

Before anymore arguments can bloom, I grab my suitcase and begin unpacking in my room. After that, I take a shower and put on my pajamas. I walk to the kitchen where Loki was drinking a glass of water and I grab an ibuprofen. Thor comes walking in, looking worried and stressed.

"What's wrong?" I ask and set down my glass. He ignores me and sits down on the couch. He put his head in his hands. I go and sit down by him and ask again.

"Y/n I'm so sorry you have to be put through this." I put a hand on his back. "I tried to argue it with Tony but he wouldn't budge." I know exactly what he was talking about.
"Hey, it's okay I promise. Don't worry about me. I don't want to ruin the mission. If the least I can do is watch your brother for a little bit then I'll gladly do it for you." He looks up at me then to Loki.
"But what if he gets on your nerves and you try to kill him or vice versa?" He asks me. I roll my eyes. That's very likely to happen while he's gone. I sigh. Do it for Thor. Control yourself.

"Ok. I swear that I won't kill your brother while you're gone. Ok?" I hold out my pinky. Thor looks at me confused.
"Put up your pinky and we'll pinkie swear on it." He puts up his and we shake on it.

"Thank you, dear y/n." He gives me a hug. I look at Loki over Thor's shoulder. He looks at me with a blank expression. I glare at him. Who was he to do this to me? To screw with my feelings and then leave me completely confused?

"Although I won't promise that he won't be severely injured by the time you come back." He pulls away and looks at me with a stern expression. I smile like an angel at him.
"Now, what time are you leaving?"
