Loki's POV:

I wake up the next morning still on the couch. Y/n is sleeping on my shoulder and I freeze. What am I going to do? I went too far yesterday and I shouldn't have. Yesterday. God. Everything had happened so fast. The boat ride. The explosion. The fight. How she fell into my arms and how I didn't want to let her go. How I felt with her while she told me everything. How she looked at the front of the boat, completely free. How close we were in the bathroom.

I cant do this to her.

I gently move her head to the pillow and put a blanket around her. She is so peaceful when she sleeps. When she's awake, she always looks slightly worried. She can hide it well but it's always there, like she's worried that everything would vanish if she looks away. I can't give her worry anymore. I have to get away.

Joanna's POV:

I wake up later on with a throbbing headache. I walk to the bathroom to wash my face.
"Ugh fuck me." I murmur and groan at my appearance.

Word of advice: do not fall asleep in a leather bodysuit. Y/n is still asleep on the couch when I walk in. I knew I had worn her out yesterday.

I hear Loki in his room doing something. Interested, or maybe just nosy, I walk in to see him putting clothes into a bag.

"Going somewhere? You might as well have some coffee first." I hand him my cup of black coffee. He nods a thank you and sets the cup down on his desk.

"I thought you weren't supposed to leave?" He looks at me. His eyes are really pretty.
"I'm going out and I will be back later on." He says it more to himself. I shrug my shoulders. I don't see any harm in that.

"Ok." I sit down on his bed. He seems uncomfortable.
"Hey you don't happen to have any magic for hungover day do you?" I ask as I rub my temples. He shakes his head. Theres some noise out of his room and he looks up expectantly. I look too, but it's just the dryer. He looks at me and I chuckle. He was trying to see if it was Y/n! Why can't I have that?

"I'm pretty sure y/n likes you too, you know. She will never admit it though. Ever since she volunteered for that experiment thingy she's had trust issues." I say and run my hand through my hair. He stops me. Rude.

"Wait. Volunteered?" He looks at me like I'm crazy. I nod.
"Oh shit, did she not tell you? She volunteered for that thing. What was it called? Like-"
"Hydra." He finishes my sentence

"Yep. Well, I just wanted to tell you, I'm leaving this weekend. It was nice to have met you. I think you're doing a lot for y/n." I say as I stand up. His mouth is parted slightly and he looks confused.
"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Why did she volunteer?"
"Hey man I think that's something you should ask her yourself." I don't wanna be in charge of telling him everything Y/n's gone through.

He seems moody, and though I'm all up for gossip, I know that's something that she doesn't want a lot of people to know about. I walk out of his room before he can ask anymore questions. I have to get out of this drama. I miss my cat and my ex-girlfriend, who are both at home. It feels like I had interrupted something when I came here, and I need to talk to y/n about this.

Y/n's POV:

I wake up still on the couch, but Loki isn't there. Jo is in the kitchen, making coffee, but she doesn't know I'm awake. I roll back over and try to sleep again. I feel dead. I'm incredibly sore and I feel like I need to throw up again.

I hear Loki and Jo talking in his room, but I feel too weak to get up and see. Jo walks out of his room with a confused expression. She covers it up quickly when she notices that I'm awake.
