Y/n's POV:
I woke up the next morning still in his arms. His face, usually guarded by his ego and cockiness was now open and relaxed. I moved closer to his chest and heard his slow breathing. That rhythmic sound almost made me fall asleep again. I tried to stop the thoughts from sinking in but I was unable to. Where would we go from this? Would he leave me again? If I were in his position, I wouldn't have left in the first place. I was still angry at him because even though he said he regretted it, I could tell he was still indecisive.
His eyes fluttered open and he looked at me as if remembering where he was. "Good morning idiot." I said. God I love his smile. "Good morning witch." I smiled and he pulled me in. I breathed in his scent and remembered last night. "This doesn't mean I don't still hate you." I said into his ear. He smirked. "You know you love me darling." My stomach flipped at that word. Was he right? I scrunched my nose. "I don't think this is exactly love we're talking about." His smile slightly faltered and I kissed him. I ran my fingers through his hair when I heard a knock at the door. He pulled back. "You should've warned me we were having company." He said and I shrugged. "They can wait." I moved in again but the person knocked once more. I groaned. Who the hell was it?
"Uh, y/n? It's me Payton" well shit. Loki pulled away. "Is that-"
"Yes." I interrupted him. He glanced at the door behind me and immediately got dressed. "Oh don't you dare open that door Loki." He smirked and walked out the bedroom. I teleported to the living room and realized I was still naked. I ran to the couch and covered myself in a blanket. I teleported right in front of Loki and stopped him.
"Loki please let me handle this." I created an energy ball in my hand but he put his hands on my shoulders and moved me to the side. He opened the door and gave Peyton a grin. I tried to talk but he covered my mouth with his hand behind the door.
"Uh, hi? Is this where y/n l/n lives?"
"Yes she does but I'm afraid she doesn't want to speak with you at the moment." What a prick.
"Oh, well she left her jacket in my car last night and I wanted to return it."
"How did you know this is where she lives?"
"Uh, well I know her sister Joanna and I got the address from her."
"Well, can I give you a word of advice? Don't come back here she doesn't want to see you ever again." Then he slammed the door in his face after taking my jacket. I heard him murmur what a twig Peyton was. "What the hell was that?" I asked. He gave me my jacket and I let it drop to the floor. "I was simply telling him the truth." I scoffed but still moved closer to him. "I could've done it much better than you did." He wrapped his arms around my waist. "Too late now."
"You're so arrogant."
"And you're beautiful when you're angry." Before I could protest, he kissed me and pulled me closer to him.
"I adore you." He said.
"Me too." He laughed and the phone rang. "Please let me get this." He rolled his eyes and I ran to the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey y/n."
"Hey Steve."
"Tony wanted me to let you know we're having dinner at the tower tonight. Everyone's invited so you should come."
"Alright I'll think about it. Casual or formal?"
"You know how extra Tony is." I agreed and hung up. I told Loki what Steve said.
"So besides that I have nothing planned today." I told him. He started to pick at the palm of his hand, a nervous tick I noticed he had. "Y/n?"
"Yes?"
"Would you like to maybe um, what do mortals call it," I laughed at his nerves. "Loki, are you asking me out on a date?" He avoided my gaze. "Y-yes. Only if you want to." His nervousness at this subject was cute. "Of course. Where do you want to go?" At that moment, Thor came in through the door. Loki disappeared. Shit Im freaking naked in nothing but a blanket. I teleported as fast as I could to my bedroom and shut the door. I screamed into my pillow and flushed red. What Loki knew was what I showed on my face. To him asking me out, I kept it cool and relaxed. Underneath that, I was a hot mess. Sure, I went out on a date literally last night but this one was different. This one was one I actually wanted to go on.

And what y/n didn't know was how much Loki actually did care for her. Y/n thinks too quickly and assumed the words he said earlier, of how much he adored her, were simple jokes. But to Loki, he didn't think that way. For he had thought about those words for a very long time. To Loki, y/n was the one person he cared for, his once cold and vile heart that had rarely been taken care of in the past, was now overwhelmed with love and amenity. This date they were to go on was nerve wracking for the both of them. Both were in need of each other, and had changed for the good ever since they first met. And no matter how much they fought, they would somehow be pulled back together, as if forced to reunite. Was it fate? Or just plain luck? Neither knew, but whatever it was, they both loved coming back together, as if addicted to one another.

"Y/n? Are you alright?" I heard Thor ask from the other room as I was getting dressed. "Oh yeah I just thought it was a little too early for a show." He laughed. I ran out to the living room. "Hey Thor." I said and kissed him on the cheek. I could feel Loki's eyes burning holes in my back. God, he could get jealous so fast. "Well, you seem extra cheerful today." He said and I grinned. "It must be the warm weather." I said and I could hear Loki snort. I wanted to kick him in the shins. Thor looked at me confused but shrugged and went to the kitchen for Pop Tarts. Loki appeared and I raised my eyebrows. "Are you gonna say something?" He asked. I rolled my eyes and walked to the kitchen. Some boys can be so ignorant. I had told Thor earlier about Loki and I, but he didn't know about our status now.  How could I tell him that the one day he left I had a guy over, and that guy is his brother? I turned before Thor could see me and pulled Loki to the side.
"So I assume you told him about us." He asked.
"Well yeah but that was when I hated you. Now all he knows is that I went on a date with Peyton and-" before I could say anymore, Thor called me into the kitchen. Loki stayed in the living room and I sat down at the bar.
"Lady y/n. How was your date?" I realized then how much I would have to explain to everyone. Why did everything have to be so complicated? Everyone knew I hated Loki for leaving and that I went on a date with Peyton. How was I supposed to explain that I will never see Peyton again and I was falling again for Loki? And all of this happened in the same god damn day? "Well, uh, where to start? It was," shit. What did we do again? "Fine. He was a nice guy but I just didn't really hit it off. Better luck next time." I said dryly, trying to drop the subject because I knew Loki was listening. "I told you so." He said while stuffing his face with Pop Tarts. "What do you mean?"
"I tried to at least tell you that it wasn't going to work out. You're very picky." I got offended.
"What are you implying?"
"Well, I mean, of all the men you could've picked, you picked my brother. And that didn't work for you and when Natasha suggested other men you turned all of them down."
I rolled my eyes. "Well, men suck and I shouldn't waste my time on them."
"But you still do. Every time I bring up Loki you always have this look on your face that looks melancholy and sad. I mean, you said it yourself, the only reason you went on that date was to piss him off." I flushed thinking that Loki was hearing this. "Y/n, you do realize there's nothing wrong in liking Loki still?" I breathed a heavy sigh. "Well, I was hoping you would say that because I can't get over that prick." He smiled and patted me on the back. "Oh y/n, you'll accept your fate to be with him someday." I pushed him off playfully and stood up. "Well, I've got to run and get some groceries and stuff so I'll see you later." He said goodbye and I got into the elevator. Loki reappeared as soon as the door shut. I held my chin up high. "You didn't hear anything Thor said." He smirked and laughed. "Oh don't worry darling. I didn't hear a single thing." He took my hand and I smiled. "So you really only went on that date to make me mad?" I looked up at the ceiling, ignoring his entire presence. "Maybe." He straightened up, as if comparing himself to Payton in his mind. I turned and his back pressed against the wall of the elevator. "I want you and no one else." I reminded him. He kissed me and gripped my waist. Before it could get more intense, the elevator opened and three women came in. One looked Loki up and down and he smiled politely at her. I hated the flames that burned in my chest when she looked at him. She whispered to her friend and she giggled. Loki bent down and whispered in my ear. "And I'm the one that gets jealous easily?" I pushed him and we got off the elevator. "So, where would you like to go?" I asked him. He ran a hand through his hair, thinking. "Well, you're the one who lives here. You pick."
