Set in the world of Naruto Uzumaki, a new character, Hoshiko Agawa, steps into the light, the two-faced jinchuriki, also known as the Spirit of Life and Death. With the power to use chakra to shape orbs, walls, and lasers of fire, water, light, eart...
A few weeks later, Naruto and Hoshiko were more or less back to normal. They were still hurting, but they could act normal, at least.
The pair was strolling down the street that morning after some ramen as breakfast, discussing the noodle shop's new menu items when suddenly, they felt it. They turned sharply.
"Oh no," whispered Hoshiko. "Do you sense it too?"
"Yeah," Naruto replied quietly, tense. "Could it be...?"
"Another jinchuuriki is in trouble."
Naruto broke into a run. "We need to tell the hokage. We should use your new portal jutsu and teleport over there."
"Right." Hoshiko followed close behind Naruto.
They raced into the hokage's tower, leaping up the steps two at a time, and finally arriving at Lady Tsunade's office door. Naruto burst right in.
"Naruto!" Lady Tsunade and Hoshiko cried out at the same time.
The hokage massaged her temples. "You can't just-"
"A jinchuuriki is in trouble, Grandma."
"And from the looks of it, it's the eight tails, ma'am."
"That's the Land of clouds, then. Killer Bee," Lady Tsunade reasoned, her eyes closed.
"We need to help-"
"No. It's too dangerous. This is the Akatsuki we're talking about."
"We can just zap in, throw a few hits, and hop out. The rest we'll leave up to the jinchuuriki."
"Yeah, we can't just leave him, now that we know about his predicament."
After considering for three good minutes, Lady Tsunade looked up. "Fine, you two may go. But remember, in and out, you hear?"
Naruto grinned, straightening. "Alright!"
Hoshiko hesitated, then spoke up again. "If I may, I wouldn't bring Naruto with me."
Naruto faltered. "What?"
"I know if we were to go together, the odds would be better, but the Land of Clouds is really far away. I can use my kekkei genkai to decrease the strain since I've been to the place before, but to take two people so many miles would be really hard. I'd barely have any chakra left to fight, forget the trip back."
The hokage nodded. "I understand. Alright, then. Hoshiko, you are to go alone. Naruto, be on stand by."
"Right, I'll come back here when I'm done. Try to have a few people here in the unlikely case something unwanted falls through the portal or someone's injured. "
"No, I want to-"
But Hoshiko was already forming the hand signs, gathering her chakra. She opened her now tinted purple eyes and looked around. After a minute, she smiled slightly. "Found it." She closed her eyes, slowly building up her chakra for the portal. Two minutes later, a portal slowly opened beneath her feet. It grew to the size of a small bear on its hind legs before she fell in.

Hoshiko was not happy. She had landed in the middle of a stare-down contest. One of them being Killer Bee, which was good. The other being none other than Sasuke Uchiha, which was not good. She wasn't in the mood to fight her former teammate.
