"Are you okay, Chuck?" you asked him, as you walked over to see him at his work while you were on break.
" Oh, um... no, no. Not since Emmett started playing romantic comedies 24/7. He must love Must Love Dogs, 'cause that's always playing."
"Well I feel bad for you. You know how I feel about romantic comedies."
"Oh I know. Not your thing."
"So for tonight...is there anything I can do at all? Like cook something or bring a bottle of wine?"
"No, I told you. Nothing at all. It's Valentine's day, and I plan on making tonight special."
"Awww...you're the sweetest." you told him, leaning up to give him a kiss.
"Hey, hey, hey, happy Valentine's Day, you two." Morgan called out, walking over to the both of you." Any hot plans for today?"
" Absolutely, there is. Y/N is coming over around 6."
"I am. And he planned it all out. I can hardly wait." you then looked at your watch and saw you had to head back to work soon. "Oh I got to get going. I'll see you then, sweetie."
" Oh, okay. Bye."
You leaned up to give him one more kiss before leaving.
"Bye." you then looked over at Morgan. "See you buddy! And happy Valentine's to you and Anna."
"Thanks Y/N!" Morgan then stood beside Chuck and nudged him." Did you ever think that the two of us would wind up with smart, beautiful, sexually adventuresome girls on Valentine's Day?"
"The answer is no." Big Mike called out, walking over to them." Two jackasses like you landing two hot pieces like Anna and Y/N? It's a cruel trick of nature. Grimes! Get your butt to the sales floor before I kick it over there. Bartowski, herd up your nerds."
Later at night, Chuck's plans for you didn't go as well. When you walked into his house all you saw was smoke.
"Chuck? Babe? Everything okay?"
"No!" he shouted, sounding frustrated. He then came out of the kitchen looking disappointed. "I'm sorry Y/NN. I burned our dinner."
"Aww Chuck..." you then walked over to him and gave him a hug. It looked like he really needed it. "It's okay."
"No it's not. I was hoping to make tonight special for you and cook you a nice, romantic dinner and it's all ruined."
"Well we are not going to let this ruin our Valentine's. Here's what we are going to do. We are just going to order some take out, drink some wine and enjoy this night just the two of us."
"Yeah. You're right! Okay. Let's do this."
"Perfect. And I do appreciate what you tried to do for me."
"Thank you."
"Now, I'll order the food, you get some glasses of wine."
You ended up having some Chinese food, drinking wine and watching a movie. You were lying down on the couch, your head on Chuck's lap, while Chuck had his one arm wrapped around you, holding on to your hand.
"Can I ask you a question?" Chuck asked you, looking down at you.
" Sure." you replied, turning your head to look up at him.
" This is the worst Valentine's Day ever, right?"
"You're not still upset about the dinner are you? Come on, don't be silly babe."
"Please, you're not going to offend me."
"Chuck I'm being serious. As long as I am here with you there's no way I could have a bad Valentine's day."
Chuck just looked at you and smiled warmly.
"You're right. You're right! Plus, there's got to be someone somewhere having a far worse Valentine's Day."
You laughed a little and then brought your hand that he was holding over by your face and kissed his hand.
Not long later, yours and Chuck's phone went off. You both reached over to grab your phones and looked to see who it was.
"It's Sarah." you said.
"Casey." Chuck said.
"Looks like we got a mission."
"Well, Valentine's was nice while it lasted."
You and Chuck walked out into the courtyard where you found Sarah and Casey waiting for you both>
"Sorry to ruin your Valentine's." Sarah said.
"No problem. What is it?" you asked.
" Thai street racing gang, a Ukrainian prostitution ring?" Chuck asked, getting a little excited.
"No, for this mission, we are going to need Mr. and Mrs. Carmichael again." Casey said, pulling out the wedding rings. "You two kids are going to the suburbs. Good luck as a normal couple."
You and Chuck looked at each other and shrugged. Couldn't be too bad right? You two get to play a married couple again. This was going to be easy.
