The morning rays shined brightly over the island that held dark meanings. We were in line getting food and the man behind the counter denied Garmadon biscuits. "There's a valuable lesson here, son. If you turn your back on your first evil Sensei in an effort to go straight..." Garmadon started to walk away as the man said next, " You may not be served creamy biscuits."

" Well, I know what we are being served. A whole bunch of baloney. This isn't a fighting tournament. It's an alibi for Chen to steal everyone's powers. But we still don't know why." Lloyd said lowly. "Isn't it obvious? Chen wants to destroy New Ninjago City. I don't know what it is, but that place has had a string of bad luck." Kai mentioned.

" I'm not so sure. From what Sensei G's told us about him, I have a feeling it's something far more sinister." Cole added on. "  And may I remind us, we still don't know where Zane is, which is why we all need to take care of our first rounds to give us more time. Don't look at me. I've already moved on." "Your opponent got himself kicked out." Cole looked at Jay, confused about his attire since he is still in a robe and pj's.

"Hehe, either way, it's my day off." Jay chuckled at told the warrior for extra biscuits. " Taking a day off? And here I thought ninja never quit." Cole said as they walked away from the line. " And I used to think a ninja wouldn't steal your girlfriend." Jay sassed back.

"Whatever you have to say to each other, say it now, because harboring grudges hurts no one but yourselves." Garmadon stared down the two boys. "He's right. You should be preparing to fight your next opponent, not each other." Lloyd agreed with his father.

"What grudge? I already dropped it." " I dropped it first." And there they go, back at it again with the arguing. " I want to yeet them into the ocean," I mumbled, still tired since I didn't sleep much. " I want to as well." Garmadon agreed and I laughed. "The tournament will test them. Either find a way for them to make peace, or neither of them will move on." Garmadon mentioned.

" The Tournament of Elements continues." Chen interpreted the boy's bickering as he came on the intercom. " Fun time!  Would the following Masters please make their way to their assigned arena? Speed, Gravity, Smoke, Nature, Mind, Light, Darkness oh and last and hopefully not least, Fire!"

Kai gasped and looked over at Skylor who looked back. " Dammit, I really wanted to investigate my room more." I sigh. " Remember, only one can remain." I'll be the last remaining when I tear out your thought.... Wow, that was pretty dark self.

Four fights at once. I was up against Paleman, the invisible stupid. " Turner, Master of Speed, versus Gravis, Master of Gravity. Fight!" Chen started to start all the matches. " Neuro, Master of Mind, versus Bolobo, Master of Nature. Fight." He is doing them all at once? Ok. "Kai, Master of Fire, versus Ash, Master of Smoke. Fight!" " (Y/n), Master of Darkness, versus Paleman, Master of Light. Fight!"

The arena I was standing in was decorated to look like old ruins. Creepy old ruins, my favorite area. I cracked my neck and chuckle. " Sorry dear, but your time is up." The Jadeblade was hidden in the ground and our job was to find it. My ribbon formed around my wrist and I tried to wrap it around Paleman but he went invisible. " You think you're being slick huh?" I slammed my fist into the ground and sent a search ring. I found Jadeblade's location as well as Paleman.

I wrapped my ribbon around his waist and flung him into the air. Paleman was able able to slither out of the ribbon easily since it isn't the strongest thing. He landed and punched me in the jaw. I rubbed the place where he hit and swung my leg around to hit him back but he dodged. I totally forget that Paleman had the elemental of light, not invisibility. This caused me to get blinded by him.

I rubbed my eyes and created a large cloud of darkness to surround us. I was like a bat at night. I screeched like a fricking banshee and detected his placement. I launched at him and tackled him to the ground, my darkness cloud disappearing. I opened my eyes and held Paleman by his shirt and flung him into a wall.

Paleman groaned and tried to get up but I shoved my foot into his chest. Paleman was able to get my foot off and tried to hit me. I tried to dodge but didn't get that far. Paleman accidentally punched my tit. " Uh oh..." I glared at the man and he backed up. "Big mistake." I giggle and went to hit him. Paleman grabbed my fist but I then grabbed his wrist and smashed him into the ground.

The Jadeblade shot into the air and I caught it. I pointed the blade at Palemans...throat? Well, what I believe is his throat based on where his shades are. " Like Master Chen said. Only one can remain." Why did I say that? Why didn't I feel like myself? Maybe I should start meditating more.

" Winner!" Chen called out at my victory. " Loser!" Palemen fell down into the trapdoor. " Master of Darkness moves on." I sigh and looked at myself in the reflection of the blade. My white of my eyes looked more grey than white. Could it just be the blade, or is there something wrong with me. I looked into the trapdoor where Paleman fell into. " I'm sorry, we'll get you and Karlof out soon with your powers back," I whisper.

I still felt bad even though it's been over an hour since the tournament. I already got a lot of criticism for saying the whole only one can remain line. I held my clothes tightly as stared at the floor as we all walked over to the board where the other Elemental Masters were. Lloyd took my hand from my clothes and held it. I smiled slightly but it soon returned to a frown. He kissed the top of my hand as we look at the board.

I look up and gasp. Fucking Chen put Jay and Cole against each other. " No, he can't do this!" Cole looked at Jay. " he already did." Lloyd remarked, staring at the board. " We gotta fight each other." They looked at each other. "But why does it say I have to fight Cole? It didn't say that before. I'm not ready to fight. It was supposed to be my day off." "I tried to warn you, but you never listen. Talk, yes. Listen, not so much."

" Is there a problem, Ninja?" Clouse walked over with a smirk. "You cheated! You changed the brackets." Cole accused the sorcerer. " Oopsie" Clouse walked away as the Anacondrai Warrior next to the board laughed and walked with him. I called him a bitch in the Stone Warrior language, but I did say it lowly just in case Clouse understood me.

"What do we do? They can't fight each other. We came here to become whole, not fall further apart." Lloyd asked. "You can't undo what's been done. My only advice is to be at peace with it." "Peace? One of us has to lose! Oh, my gosh. It's totally gonna be me. He's got super strength and what do I have? Quick, tell me! What do I have!?" Jay freaked out.

" Don't listen to my dad. We find Zane, then none of us have to battle. Your fight isn't until tonight so we still have time to figure out what Chen's up to and stop this." Lloyd told the blue Ninja. " I think I know just the person who can help. And I think he already knows." Kai mentioned. I'm guessing Neuro by the way he worded that sentence.

Night fell and we walked outside and found Neuro meditating, or training I don't know don't ask me. "We need your help, Neuro." Lloyd told him. " You think I can get close to Chen to read his mind, so you can find your robotic friend and not have to fight." " Bingo, but also don't forget-" "You still need to know what Chen's up to because he's hiding something." Neuro cut me off.

"That's really impressive, Nerdo." Neuro didn't like that Jay miss said his name and flipped around to face us. "It's Neuro, Master of the Mind. And Cole thinks Jay won't last long in a fight." " Pfft, you think that?" " You just said it yourself." " But you didn't have to believe it. " Jay shoved him.

" Don't be offended, Cole. Jay here thinks you're the least valuable ninja." " You don't say." The two started to push each other. " We wanted you to help, Neuro, not make things worse," Lloyd said to the Master of Mind. "But why would I help? You're competition. The sooner you're out, the better for me."

" If you want what's best for you, just look into my head and you'll see what this tournament is all about." Neuro did and saw Lloyd's memory of him watching Chen steal Karlof's metal. Neuro's face changed to worry. "It's only a matter of time before Chen steals your power too. So are you in?"
