Chapter 3

Tori dealing with my shortcomings

I accepted my fate. I'd asked if they could just take me back to earth and Zun told me we were already out of the that galaxy. I inhaled sharply as Zun pulled my wrist further into the bowels of the craft and to the kitchens. We passed a huge dining hall and entered a brightly lit cooking area. I noticed several women working their eyes followed me as we passed through and stopped at another door with a green panel. Zun put his hand on it and we entered the room. He pulled me gently in front of another of his kind. Kuk looked kind, his orange eyes scanned me in confusion.

"Why don't you keep her, she's lovely," he tells Zun and I smile slightly.

"My brother has ordered me to reproduce with a female, I don't have a choice in the matter, I do enjoy her immensely but orders from the higher ups take precedence," Zun says solemnly, shrugging his shoulders. I pursed my lips as the pair continued to talk about me like I wasn't even there. I felt a massive dose of sadness and my eyes were starting to water as I watched Zun talk. Damn it, I was starting to like the strange alien dude. He looked down at me and squeezed my shoulder. He bent down and looked at me.

"Once I accomplish my fertilization I will come back for you," he grinned and wiped the tear off my cheek. I looked up at his strange orange eyes and frowned.

"Okay, whatever, " I mumbled softly and jerked away from his hand. He frowned and shook his head as he turned and left me. Kuk asked me to sit, I did and held my hands together on my lap.

"Tori, you will be okay, I know you don't understand the importance of our race reproducing, but it literally means our survival, we don't have the luxury of falling in love and being with the partners we wish, I for example have a male that I have a fancy for, but he is in the process of reproducing with a female at this time," he says irritatedly and I grinned slightly.

"Can I ask you a strange question," I say softly and he nodded.

"Why does Kun taste like sweets," I mumble curiously and Kuk chuckled.

"Genetic engineering, all Ghauqrian taste that way," he grinned. I nodded my head and smiled.

"I've already have a full kitchen staff and I will assign you to serving during meals, no male will bother you, they will understand that you are defective being assigned to me, serving time is three times daily and the time is announced through the intercom, I can show you to your bunk and give you your new clothing," he tells me as he stood. I did the same and followed after him as he headed towards a hallway in the rear of his office. I noticed the kitchen opened to my right.

"There are two Ghauqrian males who work here, Ankol and Phirah, they are young and cannot participate in the reproductive process," he said gravelly.

"How young are they," I asked curiously. He eyed me strangely.

"They are 25, 30 inexperienced and I do hope that they remain that way or I'll have a huge hassle to deal with," he stated firmly, rubbing his eyes. I chuckled softly and stopped when he did by a normal door. A big strange symbol was on the wall next to it.

"This is your room, you'll bunk with another earth female Dianna, she has the same ailment as you, your uniform is on a hanger, wear it at all times, I'll let you get settled before the noon serving time," he smiled brightly and opened the door. I entered and Kuk left me. I grabbed the white uniform and went to the open bathroom to change. I sat down on a couch and sighed. I regretted having drunk sex with Zun, I'd been better off avoiding the whole thing. I rubbed my eyes when the door opened and an older woman smiled at me.

"Hi, I'm Dianna, she approached me with her hand raised. I shook her hand and grinned at her.

"I'm Tori and defective," I chuckled and she nodded saying she was too. We chatted for a while, she was very nice and we clicked instantly. The intercom announces it was serving time and Dianna tells me where I needed to go. I nodded my thanks and went to the long gray metal counter located in the dining hall. Two Ghauqrian males brought out large containers of food and set them on the counter.
