Y/N giggled as Kakashi's hand once more "accidently" brushed against her backside. He was all touchy feely as they walked along the path to the Hot Spring he had made a reservation at in another village. He had not wanted to stay around the Leaf once the news of his marriage began to circulate, as he knew it would become a media circus the minute it got out.
The location he had chosen would take almost the whole day leisurely walking and neither of them were in a huge hurry to get there. The air was pleasant with a light breeze, it reminded Y/N of that first day they had met forty years ago. She shifted her eyes towards him before running off into the nearby field to do a couple of cartwheels and then lay in the grass. He shoved his hands in his pocket, grinning, as he walked over to where she was sprawled.
"Having fun, love?"
Y/N smiled up at him, "Does this remind you of anything?"
He tilted his head to the side then slowly smiled, "Now that you mention it... It reminds me of the time a brat encroached on my dream."
She laughed and pulled a handful of tall grass to throw at him. He cast a quick look around before stretching out on top of her, propping his weight on his elbows as he looked down at her. "Who would know that I would marry said brat one day?"
"Who knew I'd marry a pervert?"
"Pervert, huh?" he said before mercilessly tickling her. "Take it back, brat, or there is more to come."
Y/N shrieked while trying to get loose from him. She wrapped her legs around his waist and quickly flipped him over. She smirked as she pinned both of his wrists down to the ground. "I've learned a few tricks myself, Kakashi Hatake."
A glitter was in his dark eyes, "Hmm. Maybe I wanted to be here, ever consider that?"
Y/N bit her lower lip while blushing. "You are terrible."
She gasped when he abruptly twisted her hands and locked them behind her back as he sat up. His eyes were narrowed above his mask and she knew he was feeling rather pleased with himself.
Kakashi suddenly stilled and she could see that his expression was no longer playful. He quickly grabbed her and rolled, just as a couple kunai landed where they had been moments before, paper bombs attached to them. He shielded her as they went off.
"Stay down," he whispered to her before rolling off her, grabbing his own kunai as he scanned the area around them for the perpetrator.
"Kakashi, give me a something to use," she whispered as she remained crouched. "I can take care of myself."
He didn't say anything then abruptly she saw a kunai land at her feet. She wrapped her hand around it, adjusting her grip to one that she could use as an extension of her hand. She felt the individual moving before she saw them, the wind just briefly stirring on her neck. She leapt into the air and twisted, narrowly avoiding the blade that sliced where she had been. She came down with the kunai and slammed it into their shoulder, causing them to drop the sword they had wielded.
Kakashi spun towards them but then saw two more coming from his peripherals. He was furious because he had to trust the Y/N could handle herself as he dealt with the other two. What a way to start out their first day as a married couple!
One of the two, he took out rather quickly but the third. His chakra was different than the other two. His eyes were a translucent purple and shock went through Kakashi. The Byakugan... What the hell? From the corner of his eye, he saw that Y/N had her opponent under her feet, one of the arms pulled up sharp behind them with her hand on the kunai jutting out of his shoulder of the other arm. It was obvious that arm was useless at the moment. He couldn't help but smile slightly. His little brat was a fireball.
"Hurts like a bitch, doesn't it? You have a two week minimum recovery time." Y/N said softly to the man as she twisted the kunai a little bit to emphasis her point. "Move another muscle and this will be a love tap. I got this baby, why don't you beat the shit out of that last one so we can keep going?"
Kakashi chuckled softly, "Already bossing me around are you?"
Y/N did not like the look of the last man at all. The other two had been more like sacrificial pawns but this one... she recognized those eyes. She thought all those that possessed the Byakugan were allies but apparently that wasn't the case.
As the two men eyed one another speculatively, she put a bit more pressure with her knee on the neck of the man beneath her. She wanted... no had to... watch the fight that was coming and she was not going to give him even an inch of leeway as she did so. He made a groaning sound.
"Stop being a baby," she whispered, not wanting to distract Kakashi.
Then they were moving. She was mesmerized as she watched her husband and the unknown Hyūga. This was no novice he was fighting. They were all over the open field, jabbing, kicking, lunging while lobbing off various Jutsu. Seeing Kakashi fighting in earnest and not on the anime show was almost... erotic? She was surprised at how turned on she was watching him. Now that was a weird thing to feel in a situation like this. She felt her face growing warm. Was there something wrong with her?
The Hyūga was keeping pace with her husband, which was starting to make her a bit nervous. Who the hell was he? Why did he attack them? She looked down at the guy under her, pressing against the blade.
"Why?" she asked softly. "Why did you target us?"
"Fuck you," he spat. Abruptly she pulled the blade out of his shoulder and slipped it under his neck, the intention was quite clear. "Let's try that again, shall we?"
"He'll kill me if I say," the man responded, with some fear in his voice.
"I'll kill you if you don't," she retorted, allowing the blade to nick his neck. She wasn't actually wanting to kill him. She'd never killed anyone in her life and she wasn't sure she wanted to have to ever. "Answer me now!"
"He is after y-"
Y/N gasped as several shuriken flew at her and reluctantly had to release her hold on him to dodge them. One of them had a paper bomb attached to it and she quickly covered her head as it went off, the shockwave knocking her back a bit from her position. She grimaced as she felt a spray of blood cover her from his body going in all directions.
As she lowered her arms from her head, she realized they were now alone in the field. Kakashi had a rather pissed off look on his face as he extinguished his Chidori. He turned his head towards her and his visage softened.
"Are you okay?"
