Two Years Later...

Y/N stood over the love of her life and her child with a goofy grin on her face.  She could not help it, the two of them were priceless all sprawled out on the floor mat as they were.  Kakashi had apparently been trying to read while trying to get Draco to take a nap.  They both had passed out in the process.  Kakashi was still holding his Make Out Tactics book his hand, while Draco was curled up next to him.  She had been gone most of the day, helping Naruto out with his paperwork.  He had tried to put her on the payroll but she had refused.  She wanted to give back to Naruto for everything he had done for the village.  She only spent a few hours each week, getting him straightened up, so it was no hardship.  Since Kakashi was retired, he was able to stay with Draco anytime she left.

Y/N loved all the time she could spend with Kakashi and Draco.  Kakashi never took missions anymore, citing that he had spilled enough blood in his lifetime and they didn't need the money as he had more than enough in savings to last them until they both were dead.  The separation of all those years made every day sweet for them.  They were constantly out and about together, now with Draco in tow.

The day Draco was born, they had both been on edge.  They did not know what to expect since he carried the spirit of Rydon within him.  Kakashi was worried that he would be spitting fire just outside the womb.  Y/N was worried he would look like a dragon.  They were both relieved that when he was born, he was perfectly normal without even a hint that there was another being inside of him.

Draco had his father's silver hair but her E/C colored eyes.  Y/N was certain as he got older, he would look a lot like Kakashi.  She could see the similarities in their features.  Those Hatake genes were strong as Kakashi had looked almost identical to his father.  Draco, however, did seem to possess her personality.  She would catch glimpses of it from time to time, but time would tell which one of them he favored.  He was only a year old after all.

Kakashi's eyes opened and a lazy smile crossed his features.  "Hello beautiful.  Did you have a good day with Naruto?"

"Yes, that kid is amazing, Kakashi," she grinned.  "How was your day with our little dragon?"

"Exhausting," Kakashi admitted.  "He's got so much energy in him.  I'm beginning to think this 'power' Rydon was talking about was his orneriness.  He chased Pakkun all over the yard at one point and Pakkun ended up leaving just to escape."

Y/N giggled thinking about it.  "Oh my... poor Pakkun."

Kakashi extended his free arm to her and she took his hand, allowing him to pull her down beside him to cuddle along his side.  He turned his head to look at her.  "This has been the best time of my life, though... I feel like I won something."

"I know I did," she said with a smile.

"Hmm... you think that we might be able to get the dragon into his crib without waking him up?  I'd like some snuggle time with you..." his gray eyes were darkening at the thought.

"I'm game to try," she grinned before leaning towards him to kiss him with all the love she had.

As she pulled away all she could think as she looked into those gray eyes was:  My best friend. My lover. My husband. My everything.
