Y/N was really trying to finish her breakfast but Kakashi kept giving her the goofiest look that she was wondering if she had suddenly grown horns.  She set her chopsticks down and crossed her arms.  "What in the world is going on with you this morning?"

Kakashi's cheeks bloomed with color before he looked down at his fruit and grabbed a piece of banana, "Nothing, why do you ask?"  He popped the piece of banana in his mouth and there it was... that goofy grin again.  He looked like the cat that had caught the canary.

Y/N eyed him for a minute then chuckled and shook her head.  "Okay, keep your secrets."  Whatever it was, it obviously was pleasing him immensely.  She picked her coffee up and took a fortifying drink, trying to ignore his look.  He finished up his plate of fruit and she set the cup down.  "Are you ready?  I'm excited to meet Guy."

Kakashi gave her a laughing look, "Are you sure about that?  Guy... is his own person."

"Guy will forever have my gratefulness, Kakashi," she stated firmly.  "I saw how he wouldn't let you go into complete isolation.  Plus... y'alls challenges are hilarious."

Kakashi made a face, "That's one reason I've avoided him since you got here because he'll probably want another one now that I beat him to marriage."

Y/N choked on her coffee then started laughing.  "Oh my... I hope he does because I want to watch that."  She then tapped her chin, "You know... I should try to find him a nice woman."

Kakashi choked that time, "Why would you do that to a poor woman?"

"Be nice," she chuckled.  "Guy is a great... well guy.  Someone would be lucky to have him. He's got a lot of great qualities.  Yes, he's a bit over the top but he's courageous, loyal, energetic, positive..."

"Are you trying to make me jealous?"

Y/N raised a brow at him, "Are you being serious?"  She then started laughing as his face turned a little red.  "Oh Kakashi... you're priceless.  Do you really think I'd want anyone other than you?  Remember, no boyfriend in all my forty-four years..."

Kakashi shifted then chuckled a little, "Point taken."

Y/N got up and went over to him, straddling him on the chair while she held his face between her hands.  She smiled at him, "You are the only man I will ever love.  You're my forever and always.  My best friend..." she kissed him softly between each set of words, "my lover... my heart... my only..."

Kakashi stood up with her, "Guy will have to wait."

Y/N laughed as he took her back to the bedroom and kicked the door shut behind them.

An hour later, they were finally on their way.  Kakashi had his right arm draped across her shoulders, his fingers threaded through those of her right hand.  She had her left arm wrapped around his waist and it was clear to anyone that saw them that they were crazy about each other.

Y/N saw Guy before Kakashi did.  He was wheeling around like a madman, making a group of kids laugh as he performed tricks in his wheelchair.  She slowed and looked up at Kakashi.  "What happened to him?  I thought Naruto healed him."

"His legs were very badly damaged and he refused treatment on them using the technique that was used on Naruto's arm," Kakashi answered softly.

That made Y/N want to cry but as she saw the huge smile on his face and the antics he was employing, she was amazed at how even with such a loss his positivity had not been hindered in the least.  Nor the amazing amount of energy that he possessed.

"Kakashi, my eternal rival, are you here to finally race me?!" Guy called with his loud booming voice and a gleam in his eyes.

"No, Guy, I'm here because my wife wanted to meet you," Kakashi responded in that tone he reserved just for his friend.

Guy turned his eyes to Y/N and smiled big.  "Ah, I should have known my rival would marry a great beauty!"

Y/N felt her face flush with color and she giggled, "Thank you, Guy.  I'm Y/N."

He took her hand in a firm grip, shaking it enthusiastically.  "So tell me, what did you find so appealing with my gloomy eternal rival?"

Y/N laughed at the description and she could almost hear Kakashi mutter something beneath his breath followed by a long suffering sigh.  She leaned down as if whispering to him but knowing Kakashi would hear every word, "It was the hands.... and that wild hair of his... I couldn't resist either one of them."

She gave a small yelp when Kakashi abruptly swatted her on the backside.  "Don't be a brat," Kakashi responded with a gleam in his eyes before he looked at Guy.  "We've been friends since we were four, Guy."

Guy's mouth dropped open, "What?  And why have I never heard of her before now?"

"It's a long story," Kakashi responded in a bored tone.

"Which we have plenty of time to tell," Y/N said while giving him a behave yourself look.  "I had to meet you Guy because I wanted to tell you how thankful I am that you have always been so tenacious with Kakashi through the years.  You're the reason he got through those years."

Guy looked like he might cry as his eyes filled with moisture and he looked at Kakashi, then to her.  "Kakashi!"

Kakashi groaned and face palmed.  Y/N hugged Guy then and decided he would be one of her favorite people in the village.  She then pulled away and wiped at her suddenly moist cheeks as Guy wiped at his.

"In answer to your question, I met Kakashi inside of a dream." Y/N said with a smile.  "I'm from another world, Guy, but somehow we met in a place between spaces.  He helped me get through some of the worst moments of my life.  He has been my best friend for all my life."

Guy was amazed at what she was saying, "How did you get here then?"

Y/N looked back at Kakashi, "He figured out a way to bring me here and now, we are finally together forever."

"That's beautiful!" Guy said with a lot of emotion.  "Oh Kakashi, you always find a way to one up me!  You must race me!"

"Guy..."  Kakashi said with a groan.

"Oh man up, Hatake, and race the man," Y/N said with a twinkle in her eyes.

Kakashi gave her a "I'm going to get you later" look before finally agreeing.  After a quick search, they were able to locate a second wheelchair to make things even before they got into position for a race.  Y/N never laughed so hard in her life as the two of them went streaking down the street, both trying to sabotage the other as they raced to the finish line.  She was almost out of breath from laughing so hard when they finally returned.  She was leaning against a post for support as she couldn't hold herself up hardly anymore.  It was the funniest thing she had ever seen in her life, even more so the expressions on the villager's faces.  It was evident that the two of them had made so many scenes in their lives that they barely gave them a second glance.

The two were arguing over who actually won as they returned.  They demanded she judge and she honestly couldn't because she had been laughing too hard at their antics that she missed seeing it.  Finally a citizen that had watched the whole thing came forward and declared Guy the winner.

"Guy, one of these evenings, you must come over for dinner.  I'll make something from my world for you to try."

"I would like that, Y/N," he responded with a pleased smile. "Kakashi, you got a good woman.  I am very happy!"

Kakashi gave a narrowed eyed smile at the words before taking her hand in his own.  "Thank you, Guy.  We should get going.  I'm teaching her chakra control and the day is going."

"That's excellent!  Everyone could use better chakra control!  Thank you for coming to see me and for the race!  I'm now ahead of you by one!  The Blue Beast returns on top!"
