Chapter 6- The Party and Leaving Town

This gonna take a few hours to complete cause I'm listening to blackbear and Russell Dickerson 😂.

Adrians pov:

The party started 30 minutes ago and they haven't shown up yet. Mariana and Melinda are downstairs drinking and us guys are hiding upstairs from drunk hoes. You're a dumbass.

"So what should we do until they get here?" Kian asks as he takes a sip of beer. "Well how are you gonna know when the get here if you're all hiding up here like a bunch of scaredy cats?" Dakota asks back. "Damn Dak. You don't gotta insult us like that." I say and put a hand over my heart dramatically. (And you want me to change, FUCK YOU!! Sorry I love hot girl bummer. Carry on.)

"Why don't all of you stop being fucking pussies and get downstairs. NOW!" Cedric demands. We all take off running downstairs in fear and run outside into the backyard. A few minutes later Cedric catches up to us and we just drink to pass time. Not even 4 minutes later a bunch of girls and Kayla start running outside crying. "The hell?" Dakota asks confused.

Coras pov:

We walk inside and see no sight of the guys. Mariana and Melinda are dancing and singing at the top their lungs on the dance floor, they don't even notice us walking over. We make our way to the kitchen for drinks but Kayla and her bitch posse see us and take off running out back. I just shrug and go get some vodka. I walk out and come face to face with Zane.

"Cora." He says with surprise. "I didn't think you'd show up." He adds. "Yeah well I did. I kinda didn't have a choice so it's not like I'm here at my own free will." I say without sarcasm. "Should I be offended?" He asks. "I wouldn't care if you were." I say and walk past him. "Wait!" He says, catching my attention. I roll my eyes and groan but turn around anyway. "What." I demand annoyed. "Cora we were once friends. Please don't be like this." He begs. I can see the hurt in his eyes but also sorry. "Zane you were hunting Adilyn. How do we know you aren't going to try and kidnap her in her damn sleep?" I point out. I know I hit him hard but seriously, we can't trust them. "I'm sorry Zane but we just can't." I add and exit the kitchen.

I walk around looking for Dylan and the others. I find them out front and walk past all the horny teenagers making out.

"There you are!" Julian screams. Yeah he's drunk. Julians always drunk haha. Yes he is.

"Julian you're drunk." I say and Athena giggles.  "I am not!" He whines. "Yes you are. Come on, let's get you home." Adilyn orders. "I don't want to!!" He whines more. "I'll give you kisses." Dylan bribes making Julian squeal in excitement and runs to the car. We all laugh our asses off and start walking to the car.

"Cora!" I hear a familiar voice call. I just stop without bothering to turn around cause I already know who it is.

"Adrian." I say with no emotion. I don't know if he's drunk or just plain stupid. I turn around to face him and his facial expression is full of regret and pain. Past him I see Zane standing with an expression of sadness and the other guys waiting to see what's gonna happen.

"Don't leave, I swear I didn't she was the Adilyn we were looking for." He begs. Yeah he's definitely stupid. "That doesn't excuse it Adrian. You were still hunting her and now that you know who she is, she's in danger. I'm not sticking around and letting someone take her from me." I explain. I try to be as polite as I can but at this point I'm too angry.

"CORA I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT WAS HER!!" He shouts with anger. I see Zane stiffen behind Adrian like he's scared of how I'm going to react.

"I don't care Adrian. I WILL PUT HER IN DANGER!" I shout back. I'm furious with him. If he doesn't stop I'm seriously going to lose it. Then I hear a scream. Adrian was holding his right arm around Adilyns throat and putting pressure on her wound that still hasn't healed. "Let her go." I demand through gritted teeth. "Why huh?" He asks breathlessly as he struggles to keep Adilyn in place. "LET MY DAUGHTER GO NOW!!!" I scream bloody murder. Suddenly I feel everything around me grow hotter and I realize we're in a circle of fire. As Adrian stumbles back in shock and fear, I grab Adilyn and we get in the car and leave.

Adrians pov:

Her daughter?

"Can vampires even have children?" Zane asks in shock. We're all just standing there watching the car as it leaves. Unable to move, speak, even blink. The fire disappeared as Cora did but we still didn't go anywhere until Dakota yells. "WELL WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS DOING? GO!!" We all run besides Zane cause he's not afraid of Dakota but damn Dakota can be quite scary.

We get in the car and follow the direction we saw them go. In about 5 minutes we find their car. It parks in front of a large house so we park at a distance and shut off the headlights. They go inside and come out with suitcases not long after then they speed off. And of course we follow them. I have so many questions and I need answers.

Coras pov:

"Cora what the hell was that back there?" Athena asks from next to me. We are heading for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's a 21 hour drive but it's worth it.

"I don't know. I got so angry and the next thing I know there's fire everywhere." I answer truthfully. I really don't know what happened and I'd be lying if I say I wasn't scared cause I was but I doubt it's anything bad.

Right?
