Chapter 17- Magical Mystery

Adrians pov:

I had asked her mom and dad to help me plan this whole thing out. Everyone else knew about it, besides Adilyn and Dylan. They are the ones who make a secret obvious and known. No offense Adi and D. I got down just as she turned and opened the ring box. I asked the question and she just stood in place.

Coras pov:

I'm pretty sure I looked stupid as fuck.

Ugh you're a dumbass.

"Of course Adrian. But don't you dare touch my little Kit Kat." I warn. We hug and then everyone goes to bed cause we hella tired.

I get hungry so I get out of bed. The time reads 3 am. I groan and get up anyway cause I really want blood. When I get into the kitchen, I get a blood bag and feel a presence. I turn around quickly ready to punch a bitch and stop my fist inches from Zanes face.

"What's crawled up your ass? Paranoid or something?" He asks as he puts my fist back down. I shrug my shoulders and walk over to the counter.

"Cora what's going on?" He asks concerned. "I'm fine Zane." I say and continue drinking. He takes the blood bag and sets in on the counter then forces me to look at him. He immediately takes his hand back and hisses. "Did you just burn me?!" He asks. "What do you mean?" I ask back. I'm confused. "Your skin is burning up Cora." He answers. I start to feel a little hot but then it disappears and I feel fine again. "Ok that's weird." I conclude. "Should we tell your parents?" He asks and waits for my opinion. "No, just keep it a secret. I'm sure it's just my powers going weird or something." I say and go back to bed.

The next thing I know someones close to me and screaming in my ear. I shoot my eyes open and Dylan quickly backs up with a shriek. "DYLAN IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!!" I yell making Adrian jolt up and glare at Dylan. He starts running and I tackle him before he reaches the stairs. When we fall, we slide off the railing. We scream and hit the floor with a loud ass thud. I groan as Adrian runs down the stairs and everyone comes out tired and confused.

"You ok?" He asks me and helps me up. "I'm fine." I say and crack my neck back in place. My mom shudders and flinches as Dylan does the same.

"How did you guys even end up falling over the railing anyway?" Kian raises an eyebrow. "This dumbass was screaming in my ear while I slept and woke me up so I chased him, tackled him, and we went down." I say casually like it's an everyday thing cause it is. He always has be going at him for something.

"That's nothing new." Melinda laughs. "Rude." Dylan says and rolls his eyes. "Aww dylie did we hurt your feelings?" Adilyn jokes in a baby voice. Dylan hits her a little hard with vampire strength and then gets thrown up and far. He hits the wall and breaks a picture frame before he just falls. It's like someone threw him directly.

"What happened?!" Julian yells at all of us as he helps Dylan to the sofa. We shrug and look as shocked as he does.

"Mom?" I look towards but she shakes her head. Then what did happen?

"Dylan are you ok?" I ask him and he just laughs. This bitch laughs. "Yeah I'm good but damn what ever did that is hella strong." He answers with another small laugh. "Mom can you do some witchy thing to figure it out?" I ask her. "I can try but I'll need Dylan's permission to perform magic on him." She explains. After Dylan agrees, she performs a locator spell to find where the source is. She made us all sit in a circle around a map on the coffee table and she used Dylan's blood for the spell. She mumbled random shit and the blood started to move making most of us jump. It slid off the coffee table and stopped right in front of me. And then it bursted into flames. We jump backwards since fire can kill us and my mom puts in out. She gives me wide eyes which makes me confused.

"I know I've been a bit bitchy lately but I didn't hurt Dylan!" I say defensively. "Maybe you did it accidentally since he hit Adilyn." Julian suggests. "I DIDNT HURT MY BEST FRIEND!!" I yell in anger and frustration. The house starts to rumble and a couch pillow catches fire. My mother quickly puts it out and the house stops shaking. "Like you didn't intentionally do that." Kian scoffs. I glare at him hard and he starts coughing. He grabs his neck like he's being chocked but it stops. He looks at me with wide eyes and fear. "Kian- I didn't mean to do that. MOM!!!" I yell, my frustration growing. "Figure it out! I'm tired of putting the people I care about in danger!!" I order. She grabs my hands and closes her eyes. Her eyebrows scrunch together and I know that means it's not good. She pulls back with a gasp and grabs a laptop.

"Mom?" I call but she doesn't acknowledge it. "Mom you're really scaring me." I say. She finally looks at me and she looks pale. She falls sideways onto the floor and starts shaking uncontrollably. "What's happening?!!" I ask in fear. I back up until I hit the wall and look at my hands, then at her shaking body. She suddenly stops and lays there, not moving.

I feel tears run down my face as my dad checks her pulse. She jolts awake, scaring all of us. "I have to kill it." She breathes out. Confused, I stand there motionless. She turns around and stares directly at me. She starts screaming and we all cover our ears. She stops and we open our eyes. She's standing right in front of me. Lucky me, I can't back up any more. She raises her hand and she's holding a letter opener. Adrian, Adilyn, Julian, and Zane all take her down as she struggles to get up. She yells and goes crazy. She starts kicking around and trying to get up. Dylan and Athena stay next to me and my dad tries to find something to put her down. He finds a gun and knocks her out with it. Adilyn runs over to me and she tries to calm her heavy breathing. "Are you ok?" She asks. I nod my head and she looks confused for a second before her eyes widen. She looks down and then back up at me. "Cora- oh my god." She says in shock. "WILL SOMEONE BE EXPLAIN WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!!" I yell with agitation. "The heartbeat... guys listen." She says. We all shut up and their eyes widen. "I don't hear anything." I say and roll my eyes.

"You're pregnant Cora." My dad informs me.

Her mom is insane bruh.
