I have come to the conclusion that I am bipolar. I'm listening to sad music and crying one minute then I'm listening to country and singing my heart out the next.
Coras pov:
I woke up and saw that I was alone. Where did he go?
I get out of bed and go to shower. I get out and throw on a tank top and jean shorts. I put on some black and white converse and apply my usual mascara and lip balm. I curl my long blue hair and brush it.
I hear a knock at the door and go downstairs to see who it is. When no one comes to answer it, I open the door myself. Standing in front of me is the last person I expected to be here. "Hi mom." I say with no emotion. I let her in and call Adilyn and dad down. I wanted them to see her first and then I can introduce her to the others. While Adilyn and dad talk to her, I go round up the guys and girls.
"Mom these are my best friends Julian, Dylan, and Athena. Then you have Adrian who I'm kind of seeing, it's complicated. Anyways, you have his friends Mariana, Melinda, Kian, Samuel, Dakota, Cedric and his brother Zane." I inform her as I point each of them out. "And your friend Adilyn??" She guesses with a confused look. I smile and walk over to the both of them. I take Adilyns hand in mine and watch my mother grow even more confused. "My daughter." I say and my mothers face lights up. "I HAVE A GRANDBABY!!!! You hear that Lewis?!" She yells in happiness. I missed her.
"So where we you?" I ask as I make pancakes for everyone. I don't want to unsettle my mother while we ALL drink blood. Plus, vampires can live a few days on human food.
"Savannah, Georgia." She answers. I set a plate full of pancakes on the table and everyone gets some. We eat as we talk and make little conversation here and there. We clear the table and go do our own thing. Adrian and I go to my room, the boys go to theirs for video games, Mariana and Melinda go do girl stuff, and my parents steal Adilyn.
"Your parents seem to love Adilyn." He concludes as we lay on the bed comfortably.
"Yeah, I never considered how my parents would react meeting their grandchild because I never knew I could after I turned. Then I had Adilyn and never thought about my parents again. I guess they're just excited to have at least one grandchild, even though they missed her childhood."
"What do you mean at least one grandchild?" He asks and sets his head on his elbow.
"I had a sister. Her name was Clara. She was 2 years older than me and she was pregnant with a baby boy and married to a wonderful man that we all loved. The day of her baby shower thrown by me, she was going to reveal his name. At that time I didn't know the hunters were after me. They- they crashed the party right as she was about to hug me for setting this up. My parents and her husband tried to protect us but they couldn't. The hunters tore her heart out thinking she was a vampire. She died in my lap and the last words she ever said to me was 'Carson'. They captured me and things went on from there. I didn't know what she meant until I found out I was pregnant with Adilyn. His name was Carson." I say calmly. I try not to cry but a little tear escapes my eye. I quickly wipe it away and get rid of my sadness.
"That must've been hard. You know, I had a niece." He says softly. I look up at him confused. "Zane?" I guess and he nods.
"When Zane was human he had a girlfriend and they were pregnant during the end of senior year. He asked her to marry him at graduation. They got married a week later and followed came my niece. They named her Aria Marie Black. She got a few months of her life before a group of vampires attacked us one night when we were taking her out to a carnival. They turned me and Zane, killed his wife, our parents, and aria. Zane was an emotional wreck for a while but he finally came to terms with it and turned back to his original self." He explains. "Serious and boring?" I ask jokingly with a smile. "Yep." He says and chuckles.
We hung out in my room for a few hours but Adilyn came in. "Your parents are killing me." She says and me and Adrian laugh. We agree to go down there with her and as soon as we get down the stairs Adilyn is attacked by my mother. "Ok... you do that then." I say and go into the living room. I lay on the sofa and watch in amusement as Adilyn runs around with my mother following closely behind her.
I really missed my mom now that I think about it. All those memories I had with Adilyn as I still protected her with my life, it makes me think about just how close me and my mom were. There was one night when Dylan tucked her in for bed because I was busy cleaning up a broken window. Don't ask. But Dylan came downstairs with a sad look on his face. I asked him what was wrong and he said she called him daddy. I told Adilyn when she was old enough that she didn't have a dad and I explained all the vampire stuff and hunters. It effected Dylan a lot because he deeply loves Adilyn. Dylan was my first ever vampire friend and that's why I named her Adilyn, because of him. When I first held Adilyn in my arms, I thought of Carson and it was sad. But I also knew he didn't have to be part of this life, always in danger because I'm being hunted constantly.
I didn't hold Adilyn until 2 weeks two weeks after I had her. The doctors took her for experiments before they even let me look at her face. I got out the day I got her back A few years after she stopped aging, we got captured again and were there for about 500 years. I went upstairs to my room and go to sleep. I can think more tomorrow.
I think ima end this at chapter 20. I'm kinda getting bored with it and there's not much more left to do. I will have two big situations coming up and one of them will be the end.
