The following Monday morning, I arrived wearing black jeans, a red sweater with white skulls on it, and white converse with my hair in a messy bun.

I walked into the gym, being greeted by a smiling Jaxon. He was dressed in black jeans, a plain black t-shirt, a green and black plaid shirt, unbuttoned, hanging loosely on his body, along with all black high-top converse. His hair was shaggy across his forehead like it was the night I met him at the movie theater and I also noticed that he was wearing a silver ring on his pinky.

"Hey," he greeted while showing off his amazing smile.

"Yo," I replied as we started walking across the gym.

"Did you enjoy that movie Saturday?" He asked as we continued walking, his arm brushing mine slightly, sending electricity through my body.

"Kind of, it was all right." I said shrugging.

"I thought it was really good." We were almost to my group of friends now, just taking our time, "you still going to take me up on that offer of a proper date sometime?" He asked smirking.

"I might, it just depends." I said, trying my best to flirt. We arrived next to Grace, Eli, Chloe, Lincoln, and Jed. We exchanged 'hello's' and waved before Jaxon continued talking.

"Well, if you do agree to my offer, I'll pick you up at eight o'clock Friday night." He said smiling, and blushing while doing so.

"I think I will take you up on that offer, actually." I said and his eyes went wide, "I mean, only if you were being forreal on that offer." I said, freaking out, getting nervous.

"Seriously?" He asked in disbelief.

"Seriously." I said, nodding. He let out a breath, and I swear he smiled the biggest smile possible. He is honestly perfect.

"I was so worried that you wouldn't say yes." He admitted.

"Well I already agreed to go on a proper date with you Saturday."

"I know, I just thought that you'd probably rethought about it and decided you wouldn't want to go out."

"Nope, I meant it when I told you." I told him honestly. Truth be told, I was extremely nervous and scared that he might realize it was dumb to ask me out on a date and be the one to flake out. Glad to know he isn't going to.

Jaxon and I then joined in on our five friend's conversation. Jed and Jaxon were in their own little conversation, talking about childhood memories that they had together. I joined in on everyone else's conversation talking about the newest movie coming out in theaters this weekend.

The bell rang a few minutes later, and Jaxon and I started to walk towards the halls. We continued walking, making small talk until I arrived at Mrs. Whitmore's class.

"You mind if I walk you to your next class, and the rest of them today?" He asked, nervousness in his voice, as he rocked back and forth on his heels with his hands clasped behind his back. I've noticed he does that a lot. It was a cute nervous tick he had.

"Of course you can." I said, smiling.

"Great, I'll meet you after class. Bye, babe." He said quickly, kissing my cheek, waving and walking off, leaving me smiling like an idiot in the middle of an almost empty hall, with butterflies in my stomach.

When lunchtime came around, I met up with everyone and we got our trays, sitting down at our table.

"Do you guys' know if Jaxon has this lunch?" I asked when we sat down. I was hoping that we could sit together, but I didn't know if we did or not.

"What's up with you two?" Chloe asked.

"What do you mean? Nothing, we're just friends."

"Yeah, friends that are going on a date this Friday." Grace said, smirking.

"No way!" Chloe screeched, slapping my arm in the process.

"That hurt like hell." I said rubbing my arm.

"Forreal." Grace assured, the four of them completely ignoring that I had just gotten slapped extremely hard in the arm, too busy worrying about Jaxon and I's nonexistent love life.

"You're going on a date with Jaxon this Friday?" Jed asked, eyebrows raised. He sounded extremely shocked, with a tint of attitude in his voice. He hadn't even said a word since we've been here, until now.

"Yeah." I said, getting a fork full of chilli, ignoring the slight attitude in his voice.

"Oh, that's cool," he said, eyeing his half eaten peanut butter sandwich, "I'll have to tease him about that the next time I see him." He added, faking a smile.

"Please don't." I said, laughing slightly.

"I'm only kidding, slightly." He said, smirking. Then shortly after he spoke that sentence, he continued to stare at his half eaten tray.

I looked at Chloe and Grace, they just shrugged their arms. What was up his case? Does he not like his cousin going on dates?

"Anyway, to answer your question, Ellie, no," Grace said while taking a bite of her chilli, "he does not have this lunch." She added, wiping off her face with a napkin.
