"Oh my goodness, Scott is so hot," I said as Tyler Posey, aka Scott, appeared on the screen, "and don't even get me started on Isaac or Stiles."
"Excuse me?" Jaxon asked.
"What?" I asked, pausing the show and looked over at him with a weird look.
"Hello, I'm right here." He said while motioning to himself.
"And your point is?" I questioned.
"I'm way hotter than those three." Jaxon said while pointing at the TV screen.
"Yes, you are hotter. Now shut up so I can finish this episode."
"Babe," he said dragging out the word, "you've already seen these a million times. Can we do something else?"
"Like what?"
"Let's watch a scary movie!" He shouted excitedly.
"Ew, no." I said with a stank face.
"What, why not?" He said with an unbelievable expression on his face, "we're watching Teen Wolf because you wanted to. Why can't we watch a scary movie when I want to?"
"I don't like scary movies, they scare me." I said and shivered for emphasis.
"That's the whole point of a scary movie," he said, scooting closer, "plus, when you get scared, I'll be here to protect you from the non-existent creatures." He finished, wrapping his arms around me and kissing my temple.
"I don't know," I said shrugging, "I might pee my pants and that would be super embarrassing."
"You won't pee your pants." He said.
"Oh, but I will."
"Okay, saying you actually do pee your pants, I won't judge. Pinky promise," he said holding out his pinky in the air, "deal?" He asked when I was silent for a few moments.
"Deal." I said while rolling my eyes. I luggishly picked up my pinky and laced it with his.
"Okay, what movie first?" He asked jumping up from the couch.
"First?" I asked.
"Yeah." He said nodding slowly.
"You said that we were watching a scary movie, not scary movies."
"I meant more than one movie."
"Well you didn't specify that." I said, furrowing my eyebrows at him and crossed my arms, "hey, I have an idea!" I shouted, Jaxon looking at me to continue, "let's go to the movies instead!"
"No, we're watching a horror film." He stated firmly.
"But The Longest Ride is still in theaters." I whined.
"So, we can go watch it next weekend."
"But they're fixing to take it out," I said and stood up and made my way over to Jaxon, "please, babe." I said and kissed his cheek.
"No," he said and backed away slightly, "I'm not giving in. We're watching a scary movie."
"Please?" I asked with the puppy dog look.
"No."
"I guess you don't love me then." I said, walking over to the couch and sat down.
"Babe, now don't you start pulling this on me, you know I love you," he said walking over and sitting down on the couch next to me, "I mean, I guess if you really don't want to watch a scary film, like, we could go see The Longest Ride." He finished and I perked up.
"Great, let's go!" I said jumping up, while Jaxon sighed in response. We slipped on our shoes, and headed out the door.
We arrived at the movie theater and bought our tickets.
"Do you want any popcorn or anything?" He asked as we walked away from the tickets booth, grabbing my hand.
"Nah, I'm good."
"Okay, just let me get some candy and us a slushy and we can go take our seats." He finished and I nodded. We got our snacks and made our way to the theater room. We chatted a while until the movie started. After it was over, we headed back to his place.
"So, how did you like the movie?" He asked after we walked inside.
"I loved it. Best movie ever, and Scott Eastwood is so attractive." I said as I kicked my shoes off.
"Well, if I must add so myself, Britt Robertson is a total babe." He said and held a hand to his chest.
"What? Britt is a terrible actress, oh, and that blonde hair is so drabby."
"Well, I think she is absolutely gorgeous."
"Whatever." I mumbled and sat down on his bed.
"I'm only kidding babe. I mean, yeah, she's pretty but she's not you. Not anywhere close," he said, sitting down beside me, "I just said that to get under your skin like you do me when you talk about all of the actors I can't compete with."
"Jaxon, you're much more attractive than those actors."
"Good," He said and kissed me, "hey, since it's getting late, and we have no school tomorrow, do you just want to stay over? I'll sleep in the floor, or we can even sleep in different rooms."
"Sure. Let me just inform my dad on what's going on." I said while reaching for my phone.
"Are you sure he'll be okay with it? I mean, nothing's going to happen, unless you want it to, but even if you do I'd totally say no." He rambled on.
"Relax, he'll be okay with it. He trusts me." I said, grabbing his hand to relax him. He nodded as I called him.
"Hey, El,"my dad said when he answered, "what's up, buttercup?"
"Hey, dad. I was wondering if I could stay over at Jaxon's tonight?" I asked. There was a slight pause.
"Of course. You know I trust you. Do we need to have the talk about you-know-what?"
"I'm good, dad. Thanks though. None of that stuff will be happening while I'm here."
"Okay, just stay safe. Just remember no matter how much Jaxon may mean to you, but if he hurts my little girl I won't hesitate one moment to snap his neck in half."
"It'll be okay, dad."
"Okay, I love you, bye."
"Love you too, bye." I said and hung up, "see, I told you he trusts me."
"Okay. Scary movie time?" He asked hopefully.
"No way," I said and scrunched my face, "I'm actually pretty tired."
"Okay, we can lay down."
He stood up and made his way to his drawers. He looked through them for a few minutes before tossing me a black long sleeved t-shirt and flannel bottoms. I stood up and went into the bathroom to change. When I was done, I walked out and saw that Jaxon made himself a pallet in the floor.
"I can sleep in the floor if you want-" I started but was interrupted by Jaxon.
"Hell no."
"Okay." I said chuckling.
"Man, you look good in my clothes. You can just keep those." He said pecking my temple. I jumped into his bed while Jaxon laid down on the floor.
"Goodnight, beautiful."
"Goodnight." I said yawning, and was instantly asleep.
