Maya walked outside at 1:55pm to make sure everything was perfect. They had just got word that Carina made it, and everything was ready to start. Her posse lined up in this order, Andy, Vic, Travis, Mason and then Maya last. Everyone took turns walking down the aisle up to the front, where Richard Weber waited to officiate the wedding. Once Maya was up front, standing next to her brother, she took a deep breath in. The music began with a piano and cello playing the intro of A Thousand Years by Christina. Maya turned around, to see Amelia walking down the aisle, followed by Miranda Bailey; next came Ben Warren. After Ben was in place next to Miranda, Carina rounded the corner, arms linked with her brother Andrea as they began walking down the aisle. Maya watched as the love of her life got closer with every step. She was ready for this, she wanted this. Once they got up to Maya, Maya shook hands with Andrea, he kissed her on the cheek, and then stood to the side next to Carina. Once they were standing hand in hand looking into each other's eyes, Maya whispered to Carina, " Are you ready?" Carina smiled and nodded her head.
Richard began, " I am going to keep it short, because as much as you love to hear me talk, it's not my day. As I was deciding what I was going to say for this ceremony, I came across a quote. 'Love is not a perfect state of caring. It is an active noun like struggle. To love someone it to strive to accept that person exactly the way he or she is, right here and now' - Fred Rogers. Love is not all rainbows and butterflies, it is messy and filled with struggles. But that is what makes it beautiful. And with that, t he most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete, the person that makes the world a beautiful and magical place. We are gathered together here to join Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca in a union of marriage. Both of the brides have prepared vows, which they will read now:"
Maya whispered to Carina, " Do you want to go first or do you want me to?"
Carina whispered back, "You can go first bella"
Maya nodded her head and pulled out a piece of paper to read out loud. She was already beginning to tear up, but it was all out of love for Carina.
