people where seated around the room. some where wearing tux and some where wearing elegant dresses. seated by the round table, a happy family sitting beside each other, conversing and drinking their champagne. children running around and teenager girls gossiping at one table. old citizens where just betting themselves for the out come of the baby's gender and men having fun, discussing the newly weds in front of the room.

there sat two couples, either eating or talking. in the eyes of the people present in the room, they looked so happy, so perfect. but never did they know how a certain faux blonde boy has been feeling towards the two. sitting beside the groom, he bitterly drank his champagne, not faze by the burning alcohol on his throat. he tried to gather his strength to stop the tears flowing out of his eyes. he can hear their conversation, the cringy puns, cringy sweet talks, cringy exchanging 'i love you's. he never been hated himself until now.

"HEY HEY HEY! thank you for coming to the newlyweds wedding! hope that all of you are enjoying the night as we witnessed the blooming love of this couple. give it up for Mr. and Mrs. Sakusa!" the booming voice of koutaro bokuto where heard on the microphone that he was holding. the newlyweds stood up and waved at them, linking arms and atsumu never glanced at the pair beside him. he felt the shatter of his heart, cracking and breaking. as cringy as it sounds, atsumu has never been a fool not until this day came. his best friend and his dear first love, sakusa kiyoomi. he witnessed the man's evolution, as the grumpy germaphobe until the clingy person that he is now. he was always there whenever the germaphobe needs his assistant, his help, his comfort, his arms.

he was never been a fool not until the moment he fell in love with his best friend, which he assume that he will never reciprocate it back to him. how stupid.

the crowd cheered as they stood up, and lifting their glasses up, toasting for the new couple as atsumu could only watch, with emotionless eyes. they sat back as bokuto said once again "now now, before we go and witness the love between this two love birds--" he cuts himself off, chuckling before he continued "let's give it up for the performance number of the groom's best man, miya atsumu!" he announced as the crowd cheered and applause. atsumu was beyond confused and surprised that he even flinch at the mention of his name. sakusa looked beside him, mouthing 'what are you going to do?'. atsumu glanced away, not looking at the man's piercing gaze. he slowly stood up, processing all the things that has just occur. he even asked himself 'what am i going to do?'

standing beside koutaro, the owl boy gave the microphone to the faux blonde, patting him on the back before leaning in and whispering to the boy's ear. "i'm sorry tsumu, please be strong, yeah?" before he walks away. he stood there, remembering he is suppose to perform. he sighed heavily before speaking "thank you for having me here, and thank you for coming here to witness the-" he gulps before he continued "t-the newlyweds. and to express my gratitude, i guess i'll be performing?" he was unsure by his words that some of them where laughing at the boy's stupidity. sakusa chuckled lowly as his bride giggled. he positioned himself, preparing to let his emotions out. he could feel his twin, osamu sitting behind him with the piano, about to play a tune. as his fingers touched the keys, he flinched at the sudden sound of the piano tha his brother makes. he sighed before he sang the first line.

"i heard that you're settled down, that you found a girl and you're married now~" he sang the lines smoothly and softly. the crowd went silent at the angelic voice, anticipating and gawking at the boy's smooth-like honey voice, sakusa also averting his attention to his best friend. "i heard that you're dreams came true. and she gave you things i couldn't give to you" sakusa perked up at the line, confuse. " old friend, why are you so shy? Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light"

"I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited but I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it" he sang slowly and elegantly, the audience taking in the voice and the message behind it. sakusa just sat there, mesmerized by his best friend's voice. he never knew he could sing like that as he only heard him hum to some random songs back when they where in high school. he notices the sadness lacing over his voice as he couldn't help but to wonder.

"I had hoped you'd see my face, and that you'd be reminded that, for me, it isn't over" atsumu breathed heavily for what's about to come as he let his emotions out. "never mind i'll find someone like you~" he sang desperately but softly. taking in the words, sakusa widen his eyes along with his wife who was now shocked at the revelation. "i wish nothing but the best for you two" atsumu closed his eyes, preventing his tears to spill out. the audience has either tearing up or mesmerized. sakusa's wife only looked bewildered, placing her hand on his lips, gasping lowly. sakusa wanted to come over and hug the boy and maybe kiss him. 'what am i thinking? i have a wife and i'm married. what am i thinking about this?' he asked himself.

"don't forget me, i beg. i'll remember you said, sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead" he sang slowly as he prepared for the last chorus. he slowly looked at the newlyweds direction, smiling softly as he couldn't help the tears as it spilled "never mind i'll find someone like you~" he sand, looking at the curly haired boy directly in his eyes. sakusa looked at him with agony, pain, pity, regret. "i wish nothing but the best for you two" he sang as he looked at the girl's direction, who's also tearing up by atsumu's revelation, feeling pity at the pit of her stomach at the breaking boy. he smiled, nodding towards them. "don't forget me, i beg" atsumu sang as if he was pleading for sakusa to not forget him after this. sakusa could feel breaking at any point.

"i'll remember you said" he smiled sadly at his beloved, wanting to run towards him yet he knew, he has no place in his first love's heart. "sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead" he quoted, looking at sakusa's eyes as he smiled one more time before closing his eyes and looking down, not wanting to meet the crowd's judgement gazes. as the last piece played, the crowd went silence, neither does the breaking blonde in front of them. osamu stood up, walking towards his twin as he was about to pull him into a hug, the blonde bowed at the crowd and the newlyweds. "i-i'm sorry"

that's the last thing that he said, before rushing out of the venue, breaking down and since then, no one has found the crying boy, ever again.
