another round of endless of drinking on the same bar, with the same order, every nights. it's not new for the staffs of the bar to repeatedly see the face of the one and only stoic bastard, sakusa kiyoomi.
they would occasionally see the young athlete walking by the streets and towards the bar, in a sluggish way.
he would occasionally sit on the same seat, not bothered if it was cleaned or not. he was so upset of some stupid reason once again yet he couldn't help it.
rewind
marrying to miya atsumu is the best euphoric feeling to be ever existed in his whole life. he gets to be with the love of his life since youth and he's happy that finally, he could change his surname and calls him as his.
planning for the big wedding is hard as kiyoomi expects to have a private one. he didn't want any grand parties or occasions with large numbers of guests yet atsumu, as the extrovert he is, has to invite the whole volleyball clubs on all of the different schools. nonetheless, sakusa could only sigh and stick to the plan.
the wedding day came as fast as they could remember. sakusa kiyoomi was situated on the aisle, with his best man on his side, ushijima wakatoshi.
it was all going smoothly until nishinoya yuu has to moan at the middle of the vows. not long after, bokuto and kuroo begun on crying hysterically beside the priest. osamu munching on his packed onigiris and suna sleeping beside him.
komori as a supporting cousin, tried on making them shut up until kageyama and hinata begun on bickering at his side on whoever's going to get the bouquet at the end of the ceremony. tanaka as himself, taking his shirt off just to look like a man in front of kiyoko, semi who's playing shirabu's hair from behind, and basically oikawa and tendou blasting 34+35 on their phones.
it was chaotic as fuck, kiyoomi had predicted it.
komori could see the veins popping on the side of kiyoomi's neck which made him worried until he sees the sneaky hand of atsumu, clasping itself on kiyoomi's hand. he suppose he could feel kiyoomi's distress.
at the end of the day, they got married and kiyoomi is finally calm down after hearing atsumu's calm and genuine voice when announcing their vows. not until it soon comes crashing down.
first, the guests became messy once they entered the venue. they haven't get to properly be seated.
once again, kiyoomi could feel his husband's gentle hand clasping on his, squeezing it in a reassuring way. not until oikawa had dragged his beautiful atsumu and left himalone on the corner of the venue.
the whole day, kiyoomi could only go out and stay at the balcony, watching the sun starts to set with a glass of champagne on his hand and the loud cheering from the venue. he could only sigh to himself.
"seems like they left you out" the familiar stoic voice spoke up coming from ushijima. sakusa took a glance before looking away. by the judge of it, ushijima sighs as well and standing besides kiyoomi.
"what's wrong?" he gently asked and that's enough to make kiyoomi tears up. he blinks the tears away, not taking any glance at ushijima.
"it's just...i'm overwhelmed, you know? i've imagine that the wedding will be memorable, will be perfect. this day is important for atsumu and i" he spoke, stumbling on his words
"and it's just, i felt like i'm the one who's being forced to come here and not the guy who had been wedded just now" he explains, sniffling a bit.
ushijima felt pity for his best friend. he looks down on kiyoomi, asking permission if he could comfort him.
feeling safe and easy, he nodded his head slowly and was engulfed by the warmth of his best friend.
