This time I was in front of a huge door. Brown with leaded glass. Intricate designs were carved on the moldy wood and the glass was semi-transparent, making it almost impossible to see through it.
I reached out for the golden doorknob and it was cold as f*ck. The gelidity paralysed my arm. As soon as I adjusted to the coldness, I slowly twisted the knob and pushed the door open. The door screeched horrifyingly.
I looked in front of me to see stairs with no visible end. I was tired just by looking at them but I don't know what got into me as I started climbing.
The grey stairs, grey walls and red bulbs hanging on the top just creeped the shit out of me.
I spiraled up the stairs just to be greeted by a new set of stairs. It was never ending and I couldn't freaking stop no matter how badly I wanted to.
This continued for about...30 more minutes...? I think...? Yeah that was very long...and boring.
Anyways, as I climbed higher the bulbs got dimmer. I reached to a point that it got extremely dark. In this vast emptiness and profound tenebrosity, I could see absolutely nothing, not even the stairs. I continued ascending the stairs carefully, trying not to trip. I started feeling apprehensive of going higher.
Suddenly I bumped into a wall which seemed to appear out of nowhere and a bigger red bulb above me lit up.
The wall had a huge painting hung on it. It was covered with layers of dust. I could see that the blurred painting was of a man. I wanted to remove all the dust and have a good look at it but I refrained myself from the urge. Because you never know what will happen if you touch creepy stuff like that. I don't want some stupid monster to come out of the painting and you know, kill me or something. But curiosity got the best of me and I took out my hand in order to touch it.
It disappeared.
I was dumbfounded. I couldn't even go ahead because of this newly appeared wall so I didn't know what to do.
Then I started hearing weird sounds coming from the sides. You know the type when you drag a fork down a black board or something. Yeah that irritating one. Then I could hear a woman screaming at the top of her lungs. Hundreds of bells also started jingling at the same time.
There were so many types of noises and my ears were literally on the verge of bleeding.
Feeling dizzy, I stepped back, completely forgetting the fact that there were stairs behind me.
And what do you think happened? I tumbled down the stairs. It was horrendous. The pointed edges of the stairs harshly poked me in various places. I hurt my head plenty of times.
After I finally reached the bottom, I got up to see my arms and legs covered in injuries and bruises. My whole body was hurting really bad. And I passed out.
(This was her nightmare btw so passed out i.e. she woke up. Also whenever I write in italics, consider that part as her dream to avoid confusion.)
_____________________________I couldn't concentrate in class no matter how much I tried to. Not because I zoned out, but because my head was aching a lot. The fork sound, the woman screaming and the bells, I was hearing them all over again. I thought about the nightmare, it was the worst one I've had so far. It felt much more intensified and I could actually experience the pain and everything.
I couldn't handle the pain in my head anymore so I took permission and rushed straight to the washroom. I splashed water on my face multiple times and massaged my temples. I let my hair down and massaged my scalp which kinda helped. I walked out of the washroom and headed towards the water dispensers and gulped down a glass of water. The pain gradually subsided and I tied my hair back into a ponytail as I turned to return to my classroom.
It was lunch time but I didn't feel like eating. So I just grabbed a can of soda from the vending machine and walked over to our table where Hyejin and Jungkook were already seated. I dragged the chair back and sat next to Hyejin.
"Hi Noona!" Jungkook cheerfully greeted.
But I didn't have the energy to greet him back with the same buoyancy so I just gave him a small smile.
"What's wrong? Are you not gonna eat sumn? You look a bit off color. Here, have a bite, you'll feel better." he said as he shoved a piece of his veggie wrap down my throat.
I gladly ate it and giggled before saying, "It's nothing much bun, just a lil headache. Also, I don't feel like eating today so I might as well have just some soda."
Hyejin looked at me and patted my head, stroking it gently.
"You know you can go home, right? I'll ask teacher, she'll probably let you go. I'll drop you off hm?" She said softly.
"Psh it's fine! Guys it's a mere headache, perhaps because I couldn't sleep well yesterday. Please don't worry, I'll be okay." I said with an assuring smile on my face.

After school Jungkook and Hyejin decided to walk me home, literally the sweetest people on the planet.
I opened the door to my house to see my mom talking to a woman in the living room. I had absolutely no interest in getting to know who she was or answering typical questions like "Omg you've gotten so big. You were so small the last time I saw you. Do you remember me?" Like, the f*ck? No I don't remember who you are and I'd obviously look older to you, like, I don't age backwards!
"Mom I'm back. I'm having a headache right now so I'll just hit the sack, okay?" I said and went straight to my room, not waiting for her reply.
The pain was worsening so without wasting a second, I plopped myself on the bed and fell into a deep slumber.
After a while, I woke up to scary noises coming from the living room. I peeked through the door to see that the woman was still there and both my mom and her were laughing like maniacs.
I sighed and walked over to the medicine cabinet for some advil. Shoot, we were out of it. I looked at the clock, it was 7:00 pm. Not bad.
"Mom, we are out of advil. Can I go buy some from the pharmacy?" I asked, yawning. I was still very sleepy but I had no choice, these old ladies wouldn't let me sleep in peace anyways.
"Oh sure, honey. The fresh air will make you feel better as well. Just be safe, okay? Call me if needed." My mom replied and gave me a smile.
I quickly tied my hair up in a messy bun, grabbed my wallet, wore my jacket and some flip-flops and dashed out of the door, not caring how I looked at the moment.
As soon as I was exposed to the soft, cold breeze outside, the headache calmed down a bit. I toyed with my school ID card that was still lazily hanging around my neck. Whistling to myself, I observed how beautiful the evening sky looked. The walk was peaceful and comfortable but was soon disturbed due to the exceedingly bright and colorful lights outside the pharmacy.
I entered the shop and started searching for advil, which I found almost immediately. I carefully took out 3 blister packs, just in case we needed it later, and went over to the cashier.
I took some cash out of my wallet and was about to pay when a hand brushed against mine. I looked to my side in order to see who it was.
A very familiar face.
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my head. I tightly gripped it with one hand and rested the other on the counter, trying not to collapse.
"T-taehyung..."
That was the last thing I said before darkness engulfed me.
