LAMIA'S POV

Here I was, sitting at the back of a silver Audi while listening to the 'boytalk' of the two Noble-born daemons. Also, it has come to my attention that Lucius had so many brothers. So far, I've realized that one; their dad must be really strong (in more ways than one), and two; that all of them look damn F-I-N-E. I mean, the latest Lucine man that I've met is the one driving this vehicle; Aleksandre, the half demon-half vampire hybrid. He's good-looking but he's not my cup of tea, and I've been worried about him being close to Lucius since he WAS the one who turned Bex into a vampire. I could have joined in on the conversation, but they were having some sort of great banter in rapid-fire French.

" Alors Lucius est à nouveau, hein? (So Lucius is at it again, huh?)" Aleks muttered, looking at me through the rearview mirror. I met his blue orbs for a good few seconds, until I averted my eyes to the clearing on my left.

"Il a une chose pour prendre mes jouets. (He has a thing for taking my toys)" Mikhail replied in the foreign tongue. "And we should talk in English. She doesn't speak in French."

And we were all back to silence.

"I don't understand, Sir Aleks." I finally said, catching the attention of our companion. "Aren't you close with Lucius?"

"Oh, I was cherie." Aleks replied with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "But not until he vanquished our little brother. Since then, I've been secretly helping old 'Ail here with Lord Elias."

"Lord? I thought he was just a nice butler?" I replied, earning a laugh from the Lucine men. Aleks smiled as he stopped the Audi, parking in front of a gothic looking apartment (which, I noticed, was a common yet classy thing here in France).

"Oh he is, but that man killed more souls than our father, Satanei, ever did." With that, the two demons went outside the vehicle, to which I followed them subtly.

The apartment was large; it had four floors, a nice garden and a beautiful picturesque view of Paris. Aleks left us our luggage and some bronze keys and then made his way back to his Audi, with a promise to return midday tomorrow. Mikhail rolled his eyes and slung his backpack on his shoulder, his lips set in a hard line. It was dead quiet, with only the sound of the keys' jingle and the front door unlocking filling our surroundings. He ushered me to go in first, in which I was more than happy to oblige, leaving Mikhail with the baggages.

Inside was a feast for my eyes as the pristine yet galant décor of the living room surprised me. With the outstanding view of the two storey library seducing my eyes. There were two deep brown leather couches in front of me, and a piano just a few meters near the open library--and there was also a gigantic mirror in the centre of the two equally gigantic shelves. I smiled as I removed my shoes, and ran to my right.
