LUCIUS' POV

Just who is Prince Luccio Ismaël Bazyli Aleksantri Cyprano-Lucini, most of the meagre townsfolk ask. Mystery surrounds me, and I would rather keep it that way; I was born because of sin, from the womb of a pure angel and the seed of a corrupted lord. It was a love that was bound to never happen; a love so sweet yet so disgusting.

When the heavenly soldiers came to know about the demonic child in my mother's being, they exiled her to the lower lands of the Earthen realm-- to Italy, where she gave birth to me. After that, out of sheer humiliation, she ascended once more to be reconciled with her real family. I hated my mother but I forgave her, it was the least thing I could do, she brought me to this world after all.

My mind was never irrational, even when my father forced me to live with him in the underworld. I liked it there, in all honesty, even if I was considered as the ironic 'Black Sheep' of the royal family. My loving father, Satanei Lucine, provided me with the love of both a mother and a father. At first, I was disgusted by him... but then I came to realize that even the strongest and most valiant of demons are capable of loving.

Of course, my father only loved his mistress, but he had to be reconciled with his wife for the sake of the throne. I don't remember much about the ceremony, but one thing that stayed in my mind was when the demon king looked up in the skies as tears fell from his eyes. His wife, Magda, is a beautiful woman who seemed cold at first, but is actually a caring step-mother. She has a great height, hair that shines like the sun, red wings and long ram-like horns adorned with gold and diamonds. Together, with my father, they were the ideal couple in both physical and mental attributes.

A millennium passed and I started yearning for the world above ours, the place where humans roam freely and happily--but aside from my dreams... My duties as the firstborn son arose; I was expected to marry some noble demon's snotty daughter, yet the trickster that I am told me to leave, so I fled.

During this little adventure, I met the first woman I have ever loved--A simple flower shop owner. She had beautiful brown eyes and silky black hair, and her voice!

Dear god, her voice!

It was like listening to Apollo's lyre when she explains the difference between roses and peonies, and the way she frowns whilst scolding me whenever I let one of her plants wither out of boredom. We were together for five decades which seemed to pass so quickly; from her younger years to her beautiful last breath. I remember as she held my hand and kissed it softly, her words still haunting me in both my body and soul.

"Luccio, it has been a wonderful life. You showed me that even demons are capable of emotions, like us humans. I love you, and you know that very well. Thank you."

As she closed her tired eyes, and as her breathing became shallower, her grip on my hand slowly loosened.

"May we be together in another life... Till we meet again."

It was true, actually, the saying that the first love never dies--so I decided to patiently wait for her in another time. With that tarry, I witnessed countless wars, deaths of friends, plagues and sicknesses. It was unfortunate, being an immortal, for you can't do anything to keep them from dying when their time was up. So I traveled again, and landed here in Darthwood Academy, teaching history in a way that books can't even define what I saw and experienced firsthand.

Yet through all these years, those beautiful hazel eyes haunted my being. I hated how pathetic I am without her with me, how weak and empty I was.

But when I decided to finally give up, my beautiful flower came back. Reminding me of all those good memories and the strange flutters in my heart. She looked different, but I remember those beautiful brown eyes.

Her name... Is now Lamia Derano.
