(A/N: so I've been on hiatus for two years, and it's just that some things came up and I lost the will to write-- but here I am again; I'm very thankful for the very few who patiently waited for my update. The first three chapters of my book are very clumsily written, but I will not rewrite it-- instead, I'd make the next chapters even better for all of you.

HE LIES, HOLD ON.
BE STRONG.
I'LL SAVE YOU.
A voice shouted desperately, before Lamia Derano jolted awake. Her petite hand clutching the soft and brown teddybear beside her pillow. Her blurred vision focusing above her being, as she realized that it was her bedroom ceiling.
"A dream, huh." She grumbled, as she stood up from her small bed, feet still shivering from the voice in her dreams. She headed for her bathroom, where she found her brother, Damien, brushing his teeth.
"Hey sis, rough night?" He cheekily stated with his mouth full of toothpaste foam.
"Yeah, what the hell happened?" Lamia asked, grabbing her own toothbrush and then began brushing her own teeth.
"Well, I found you collapsed on the front porch. I seriously thought that you were drunk but you weren't" Damien muttered, as his pinkish lips spit the residue on the sink. "Were you?"
The small, brown-haired woman rolled her eyes, as she flicked the toothbrush towards her brother-- making his face foamy.
"I wasn't." She shot back, as she spat on the sink as well. "I was hanging out with Mr. Lucine."
Damien grabbed the towel beside him, but then faced his younger sister with eyes as big as plates.
"I swear to god, you're nasty!" He made a face and threw the piece of cloth at Lamia. "Are you fucking him?!"
"No way!"
"Then why the fuck are you red?"
"Ien, nothing happened!"
"Oh?" Damien challenged, his blue eyes challenging her hazel ones. "You better control your hormones, kiddo."
"First off, it was just a kiss; second, you're only three years older than m--"
"LAMIA DERANO WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY?!"
Lamia was quiet, after realizing what she said. Her brother, on the other hand, started walking away. But before he exited through the door, he gave her a long look.
"End this, Lamia."

"So, you're pretty down." Adrienne stated, as she continued to tap through her phone. Her face showcasing different emotions towards her chatmate, or whatever they call it. "Anything bad happened?"
"Well, Damien and I had a big fi--"
"--Cool, so, remember that dress you wore during your mom's anniversary?"
Lamia frowned, as she walked down the hallway and to her locker with her so-called friend.
"You still haven't returned the pink one." The brunette uttered, as she furiously tried to open her lock. "--And the orange one, too,"
